Period 4 （Section B 2a-2e）设计说明 首先利用图片教授新单词，直观性强，同时创设了语言学习环境，有利于学生的理解和运用。在阅读前，要教给学生一定的阅读策略；阅读中，要对学生进行必要的做题方法指导。在老师的指导下学生独立完成2b-2d的练习之后，老师精讲课文中的一些难点，帮助学生更好地理解课文；播放录音，让学生跟读课文，矫正学生发音，提高学生的听读能力；在学生听读训练结束之后，完成2e，检查学生对课文内容的掌握情况。教学目标 1. 知识目标 （1）掌握单词和短语：passage，pupil，completely，shocked，silence，recently，terrorist，date，tower，truth；in silence，take down。 （2）掌握句型：①People often remember what they were doing when they heard the news of important events in history. ②My parents were completely shocked! ③More recently，most Americans remember what they were doing when the World Trade Center in New York was taken down by terrorists. ④She remembers working in her office near the two towers. ⑤I was so scared that I could hardly think clearly after that. 2. 能力目标 （1）指导学生掌握一定的阅读策略，并能把所学技巧应用到阅读训练中，完成短文后的题目。 （2）通过阅读训练，具备正确使用一般过去时和过去进行时叙述过去事情的能力。 3. 情感目标 通过本课的学习，培养学生的爱国主义情怀。重点难点 1. 重点： （1）掌握本课时单词、短语和句型。 （2）掌握一定的阅读策略，并能把所学技巧应用到阅读训练中，完成短文后的题目。 （3）辨别使用一般过去时和过去进行时。 2. 难点： 正确使用一般过去时和过去进行时。教学准备 多媒体课件、录音机、磁带。教学过程 Step 1 Warming up Check the homework.
