Period 5 (Section B 3a-Self Check)设计说明 活动3a 是一个头脑风暴类型的练习。可以通过简单的提问引起学生的思考,然后再让学生按照3a中的提问独立完成表格。虽然形式要求是做一些笔记,但是作为正式写作前的铺垫活动,可以鼓励学生用完整的句子写下所有问题的回答;在写作过程中,首先指导学生看懂活动3b中对文章三个段落的说明,让学生明白每一段的写作要点。然后指导学生看懂所提供的写作框架,要特别提醒学生注意框架中过渡性的词语,这样写出来的文章才会更加流畅。教学目标 1. 知识目标 (1)指导学生利用课堂上所获取的知识写一件难忘且重要的事,说明此事发生的时间、地点、经过以及为什么自己记得这么清楚。 (2)完成Self Check。 2. 能力目标 指导学生利用课堂上所获取的知识写一件难忘且重要的事。 3. 情感目标 生活中会发生各种意外,我们要保持冷静,积极寻找方法或措施来应对。重点难点 1. 重点: (1)能准确恰当地使用一般过去时和过去进行时,并能完整地描写一件难忘且重要的事,说明此事发生的时间、地点、经过以及为什么自己记得这么清楚。 (2)复习一般过去时和过去进行时以及when和while的用法。 2. 难点: 恰当地使用一般过去时和过去进行时;能完整地描写一件难忘且重要的事。教学准备 多媒体课件。教学过程 Step 1 Warming up & Revision 1. Free talk. T:What were you doing at eight last Saturday? S1:I was having breakfast. T:What were you doing while he was having breakfast? S2:... 2. Check the homework. Ask some students to retell the passage in Section B 2b. 3. Complete the sentences according to the given Chinese. (1)His girlfriend was angry with him and didn’t pick up(接电话) when he called her. (2)My brother bought an alarm clock last week,but it doesn’t go off(发出响声) now. (3)When she fell asleep(睡着) last night,the wind was dying down(在逐渐变弱). (4)I took a shower(洗淋浴) after I got up this morning. (5)The children were having fun(正玩得开心) with their teacher on the playground(在操场上) at this time yesterday. Step 2 Practice 1. Work on 3a. T:There were many important things in the past,such as an important exam,a piano competition,a school trip,an earthquake and a big fire. What was the event you still remember well? Now please look through the questions in 3a. Can you understand all the questions in the chart? 2. Students work in pairs to do the activity. Each student should think of an event first and recall the details silently. Once they are ready,each pair of students can start asking each other the questions in 3a in any order they like. Students can help each other to fill in the details of the event and then exchange notes at the end of the activity so that their partner can use the notes for the writing in 3b. 3. Ask some students the questions in the chart to see if their answers are suitable. Step 3 Writing 1. Write a short article about the important event in 3a. Try to write three paragraphs. Example: (1)First,write about the event (when and where it happened). An important event that I remember well was Ganzi Earthquake. It happened on April 1,2020 in Ganzi,Sichuan. (2)Next,write about what you and some of your friends were doing when this event happened. When I heard the news of this event/When this event happened,I was having a rest after running. My friends were playing basketball. (3)Then,write about why this event is important. This event is very important to me because I lost my pet dog./I remember this event well because many people hurt that day. 2. Ask the students to write a short article about the important event in 3a. Try to write three paragraphs. 写作提示: (1)如果是历史事件,那么事件的时间、地点必须准确。 (2)在写作过程中,恰当地使用一般过去时和过去进行时。 3. Ask some students to read their articles. Correct the mistakes in their articles. Step 4 Self Check 1. Revise the use of when and while. An activity:Continue the story. Tell the students that you all will tell a story,with each student contributing a sentence to the story,using either when or while. The teacher can start off the story. 2. Work on Activity 1. (1)Complete the sentences individually. (2)Check the answers. Answers:1. While;when 2. When 3. While (3)Discuss the language points. ①point out 意为“指出”,是“动词+副词”结构,人称代词作宾语时应放在动词和副词之间。 There is a mistake in the sentence. Can you point it out? 句子中有一处错误。你能把它指出来吗? ②go away意为“消失;离开”。 Go away and think about it,then let me know. 到一边去想想,然后再告诉我。 ③had seen为过去完成时的谓语动词结构。过去完成时表示在过去某个时间或动作之前就已经发生或完成的动作,由“助动词had+过去分词”构成。 ④as well为副词短语,意为“也;还”,用于疑问句或肯定句中,常放在句末。 Did they go to the party as well?他们也参加聚会了吗? 3. Work on Activity 2. (1)Ask the students to fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the words in brackets. (2)Check the answers.
