    When I was in middle schl, my scial studies teacher asked me t enter a writing cntest. I said n withut thinking. I did nt lve writing. My family came frm Brazil, s English was nly my secnd language. Writing was s difficult and painful fr me that my teacher had allwed me t present my paper n the sinking f the Titanic by acting ut a play, where I played all the parts. N ne laughed harder than he did.
    S, why did he suddenly frce me t d smething at which I was sure t fail? His reply: “Because I lve yur stries. If yu’re willing t apply yurself, I think yu have a gd sht at this.” Encuraged by his wrds, I agreed t give it a try.
    I chse Paul Revere’s hrse as my subject. Paul Revere was a silversmith (银匠) in Bstn wh rde a hrse at night n April 18, 1775 t Lexingtn t warn peple that British sldiers were cming. My stry wuld cme straight frm the hrse’s muth. Nt a brilliant idea, but funny; and unlikely t be anyne else’s chice.
    What did the hrse think, as he sped thrugh the night? Did he get tired? Have dubts? Did he want t quit? I sympathized immediately. I gt tired. I had dubts. I wanted t quit. But, like Revere’s hrse, I kept ging. I wrked hard. I checked my spelling. I asked my lder sister t crrect my grammar. I checked ut a half dzen bks n Paul Revere frm the library. I even read a few f them.
    When I handed in the essay t my teacher, he read it, laughed ut lud, and said, “Great. Nw, write it again.” I wrte it again, and again and again. When I finally finished it, the thught f winning had given way t the enjyment f writing. If I didn’t win, I wuldn’t care.

Every child shuld visit Disney at least nce and just get t be a kid... happy and carefree.” As I cntinued examining the phts, I nticed smething which didn’t sit right with me. In every pht my grandmther was in, she was smiling in an unsettled, half-hearted way where her smile didn’t quite reach her eyes. When I asked her abut it, she gently clsed the album and said, “Oh, nw enugh f these ld phts. Let’s talk abut what we’re ging t d fr Christmas next mnth.”
    That evening, I quietly asked my mther abut the phts and the family trip t Disneyland. Mm breathed ut. “Biengineering, f curse.” I respnded withut the slightest hesitatin.
    I entered this wrld with Pland syndrme, a disease that prevented the frmatin f my right arm and pectral muscle(s 胸肌). My parents, believing that playing with Leg culd enhance my dexterity(灵巧), gifted me my first kit when I was five. Struggling t piece the cmpnents tgether, I crafted my first Leg wrk – a car. As I gt lder, I grew bsessed with Leg Technic, a mre advanced range, and hw t use it t build mre delicate structures. By the age f nine, I had fashined my first prsthetic arm(义肢)using Leg Technic – a simple bx that perfectly accmmdated my right arm.

    Befre cnstructing it, I had already decided against traditinal prsthetics. Nt because they were ineffective, but because playing with Leg did significantly imprve my dexterity, helping me adapt t my cnditin. Hwever, a mre frustrating reasn was that prsthetics were t expensive. My parents and I had lked int getting ne a few years earlier, nly t be discuraged by the prhibitive price. S, I cncluded that I might nt need ne because I was managing well withut. Nevertheless, the jy f creating prsthetics with Leg remained, and I cntinued making them purely fr the fun f it.

When Mrs. Meredith heard f Jhn’s idea, she thught it was a gd ne, t.(当Meredith太太听到Jhn的主意时,她也认为这是个好主意)可以针对如何实现制作爆米花这个提议展开构思;根据第二段首句With everything ready, Bernard started ut n his new business.(一切准备就绪后,Bernard开始了他的新生意)可以针对Bernard如何通过卖爆米花让家庭摆脱困境展开构思。
    5.续写的语言要尽可能与原文的语言保持风格上的一致。文章时态以一般过去时为主。应使用自己熟悉的句型和短语进行写作,考生要注意尽可能使句子的表达形式多样化,适当的使用一些高级句式和高级词汇,以提高书面表达的档次和可读性。作文要层次清晰,要点全面,表达流畅,切合题干要求,句子结构准确,适当补充信息,使篇章结构连贯。
    记叙类或夹叙夹议类文章有一个共同的特点——都暗藏着一根“故事情节线”和一根“主角视角线”。我们准备了两个思维模型,来帮助你进行合理推演续写部分的情节。
    1. 情节视角:“四幕剧”模型
    四幕剧是最为常见的戏剧结构,是包括小说在内的各种剧本中最为常见和最为传统的经典叙事结构。具体而言,四幕剧是指将剧本划分为四个部分:铺陈 - 冲突 - 转折 - 解决。
    第一幕是铺陈故事:一般含有开场背景、伏笔、导火索等要素;
    第二幕是形成冲突:一般含有主角的抉择、由此引发的问题(灾难)等要素;
    第三幕是出现转折:一般含有类似第三方人或物的介入这个要素;
    第四幕是解决冲突:一般含有解决办法、结局等要素。
    这种戏剧结构使剧情跌宕起伏,给观众带来很大的冲击力和很强的沉浸感,又易于操作。因此,四幕剧结构成为好莱坞电影主流的情节架构方式。
    很多短篇小说也应用了这个模型,长篇小说则把多个模型按照主线进行组合,就变成一部跌宕起伏、波澜壮阔的鸿篇巨著了。读后续写是记叙类或夹叙夹议类文章,也必然绕不开“四幕剧模型”的定律。
    2. 主角视角:“见感思行”模型
    “见感思行”模型起源于“ORID”模型,是一种决策和沟通的思维工具。其具体内涵是——
    见(Objective):客观性事件(我发现),一般是指我们通过感官所获得的体验,比如看到的、听到的、触碰到的、闻到的、尝到的。在本题型中,可以认为就是阅读部分中的背景、伏笔、导火索以及引发的问题(灾难)。
    感(Reflective):反应性情绪(我感到),前面的所见所闻,带来哪些情绪反应,比如开心、难过、激动、好奇、恐惧、期待、失望等。
    思(Interpretive):诠释性理解(我认为),对于前面的所见所闻,产生了哪些观点、见解、主张、意义、价值等。
    行(Decisinal):决定性行动(我决定或我建议),我们决定做些什么,来让前面的“所见所感所想”更好地落地。
