    Mst high schl students wuld rather spend their summer vacatins far away frm the classrm. But Vineet Ksaraju and Nikhil Cheerla are chsing t g back t schl, and this time they are the teachers.
    “I think it’s really nice that I can help the cmmunity by spending just a little bit f time every week helping just a few students here and there try and learn prgramming,” Ksaraju said.
    Friends since they were yung bys, Ksaraju and Cheerla always shared a lve f cmputer science. They learned the skills frm their parents and schl, but recgnized that nt all children have that chance.
    “Prgramming isn’t taught in that many schls, especially lw incme (收入) schls, because there isn’t that much mney t supprt it,” Ksaraju said.
    S he and Cheerla develped “Math and Cding,” an after-schl prgram fr kids f all ages t learn the basics f cmputer prgramming.
    Between applying fr cllege and ding their wn hmewrk, the tw bys nw spend a few hurs every week ging t different libraries teaching classes that cver everything frm building basic games t develping apps.
    The friends started the prgram a little ver a year ag and already, it’s spread t mre than a dzen libraries acrss the Bay Area in Califrnia. They are even training vlunteers t teach these very same classes in ther US states and Canada.
    Maryann Mitchell brught her 8-year-ld granddaughter, Gabriella, t a class n cding at the Alum Rck Library in San Jse, Califrnia.
    “It’s a chance fr her t learn,” Mitchell said. “It’s the way f the future, and it’s a gd way fr her t get grunded and be ready fr what the future hlds.”
    “I think the mst rewarding thing is having peple cme up and thank yu and say they really learned a lt frm this class,” Cheerla said. “It desn’t get any better than that.”
