LITERATURE SPOTGENERAL UNDERSTANDING①Read about Charles Dickens and think about why many of Dickens' stories are about hardship.① 读一读查尔斯·狄更斯，想想为什么狄更斯的许多故事都是关于苦难的。A CHRISTMAS CAROLCharles Dickens(1812-1870) was an English writer and social critic. 查尔斯·狄更斯（1812-1870）是英国作家和社会评论家。He is the writer of many beloved classics including: Oliver Twist David Copper field, A Tale of Two Cities, Great Expectations and A Christmas Carol. 他是许多深受喜爱的经典作品的作者，包括：《雾都孤儿》、《双城记》、《远大前程》和《圣诞颂歌》。Despite his success, Dickens‘ teenage years weren't easy.
