    Let the students have a gd cmmand f the vcabularies and basic sentence patterns in this unit.
    教学重点
    1.Learn t talk abut abilities.
    2.Master sme key wrds, phrases and sentences in this perid.
    教学难点
    Learn t use the what questins.
    教学用具
    Pictures, a tape recrder, PwerPint and multimedia.
    教学过程
    Step 1 Lead­in
    Greet the students in English.Then let the students sing an English sng “Gd mrning” .Lead in the new wrds “sing” and “dance” .
    Step 2 Cperative inquiry
    1.Present the PPT and read the sentences in the picture f 1a.Lead ut all the new wrds ne by ne.Then let the students read the wrds by themselves fr a few minutes.
    Listen t the tape in 1a carefully and number the shrt cnversatins.

    (1)Ask the students t lk at the clubs in 1a.
    T: What are they?
    Ss: They are the art club, English club, chess club, swimming club and music club.
    T: What club d yu want t jin?
    Help the students t answer what club they really want t jin.
    (2)Listen again and repeat the cnversatins sentence by sentence.Lead the students t practice the cnversatins in pairs.
    3.Use these pictures and new wrds t lead ut the imprtant sentence structures: Can yu…?
    Yes, I can./N, I can't.Ask as many students as pssible t talk abut their abilities.
    4.Pair wrks: Ask students t practice these sentence patterns.
    5.Let students listen t the cnversatins and circle the clubs they hear in the bx in 2a.
    6.Listen again and fill in the blanks in 2b, and then ask students t repeat the cnversatins and imitate the intnatin.
    7.Practice the dialgue in 2d.Get the students t write dwn the sentences in the dialgue.
    8.Reprter activities
    Divide the students int several grups, and then ask them t rle­play the cnversatin in 2d.Ask sme pairs f students t act ut their cnversatins in frnt f the class.
    Step 3 Hmewrk
    1.Write dwn three things yu can d and three things yu can't.
    2.Recite the cnversatin in 2d.

    1.Present the Grammar Fcus n the screen.Lead ut all the sentences and ask the students t read after the teacher.Crrect their prnunciatin mistakes if any.The teacher analyzes the sentence patterns.Add mre details if pssible.
    2.Finish the tasks in 3a.Help the students t understand the instructins in 3a.Make sentences and write them dwn in the textbk.Ask students t crrect the sentences with their partners.The whle class read alud the sentences.Help students with the prnunciatin and intnatin.
    3.Cmplete the tasks in 3b.Check the answers.
    4.The teacher asks the students t make a survey and fill in the blanks.Ask the students t practice the dialgues.
