Chewing uses a surprising amunt f energy.An experiment that lked at the energy use assciated with chewing gum（口香糖） fund that it can increase bdy energy use by up t 15 per cent.
Adam van Casteren at the University f Manchester in the UK and his clleagues measured energy use in 21 peple between 18 and 45 years ld as they chewed gum fr 15 minutes.
