Inspired by a Canadian cuple, we decided t start ur wn travel blg. We began by writing abut The Virgin Islands, highlighting the beautiful beaches. Hwever, fr every pht album f a beautiful beach, there were 10 phts f trash(垃圾). It was hard t ignre the plastic pllutin issue, especially n such primitive and remte beaches. S, we began t share phts f the trash we saw and hw much we culd pick up n ur daily dg walks.
The mre we lked int plastic pllutin, the mre we realized the severity f the glbal plastic pllutin. Frm that pint, we used ur platfrm t create awareness and highlight ways t say n t plastic and travel plastic-free. We changed ur daily rutines, ur way f living, and even ur diets t accmmdate mre rganic fds and little t n plastic packaging.
It’s been ver three years nw and we cntinue t d what we can. This jurney has led us t sme amazing places, wrking with great brands and even rganizing a cuntry-wide beach clean-up campaign in Grenada.

As the glbal ppulatin grws and shifts twards urban living, the land available in ur cities is being under increasing pressure. In rder t be sustainable, cities need t find ways t minimize their urban expansin. One ptin is t build upwards; anther is t dig dwn.
In Mntreal, cnstructed undergrund t relieve vercrwding in the city streets is RESO —ne f the largest undergrund cmplexes in the wrld. It is a netwrk cnnecting everything frm shps and banks t flats and htels. This shws hw ging undergrund can meet human needs whilst als bringing certain envirnmental benefits. Undergrund transprt can reduce traffic jam abve grund, thereby imprving air quality. Furthermre, thanks t their relatively cnstant climate thrughut the year, undergrund spaces cnsume less energy fr heating and cling.
When planning undergrund cnstructin prjects, develpers must cnsider existing structures n r near the site, such as the remains f histric buildings. Designers must als ensure any undergrund space intended fr human use has gd air quality. One example is the frthcming Htel, an undergrund htel beneath the streets f Lndn. Designers are using a wide range f plans t help keep the air inside clean tgether with a state-f-the-art ventilatin system(通风系统).
Light is anther key cnsideratin. In New Yrk, plans fr the wrld’s first undergrund park Demnstrate nvel ways f bringing natural rays beneath the surface. By emplying slar technlgy light is t be reflected dwn thrugh a series f pipes int the terminal belw. This light wuld be sufficient fr phtsynthesis(光合作用) t ccur and the park’s plants t grw naturally.
Tday’s architects are develping innvative ways t make undergrund spaces functinal and cmfrtable. The questin remains whether they can prvide sustainable and realistic ptins fr the future. Besides practical cnsideratins, there exists the challenge f building a psitive perceptin f “ging undergrund”. Yet, the bvius challenges f cnstructing habitable undergrund spaces must be weighed against the urgent issue f husing the wrld’s ballning ppulatin. One day, it will feel as natural t live and wrk undergrund as it des t d s ver 100 streys high.
28.What des the authr intend t d in paragraph 2?

D.T intrduce the benefits f building undergrund.
29.Hw des the authr develp his pinin?
A.By giving examples.B.By listing study findings.
C.By making cmparisns.D.By quting thers’ wrds.
30.Which f the fllwing will the authr agree?

With lunar explratin rcketing, it pses many challenges. Amng them is a fundamental questin metrlgists(计量学家) wrldwide are wrking t answer: what time is it n the Mn?
The Mn desn’t currently have an independent time. Each lunar missin uses its wn timescale t crdinated universal time, r UTC — the standard against which the earth’s clcks are set. The apprach wrks when the Mn hsts a handful f independent missins, but it will be a prblem when there are multiple craft wrking tgether. Space agencies will als want t track them using satellite navigatin, which relies n precise timing signals.
The mst pressing need fr lunar time cmes frm plans t create a dedicated glbal navigatin satellite system(GNSS) fr the Mn. T tackle this prblem, representatives f space agencies and academic rganizatins wrldwide met in Nvember 2022 t start drafting recmmendatins n hw t define lunar time.
Defining lunar time is nt simple. Accrding t the Special Thery f Relativity, clcks tick slwer in strnger gravitatinal fields. The Mn’s gravitatinal pull is weaker than Earth’s, meaning a lunar clck wuld run faster than an Earth ne.
Defining a lunar standard, with which all clcks are cmpared, will invlve installing at least three master clcks that tick at the Mn’s natural pace, and whse utput is cmbined by an algrithm(算法) t generate a mre accurate ‘virtual’ timepiece.
What happens then depends n which ptin metrlgists chse. They might decide t base lunar time n UTC.The alternative wuld be t use the synthesized(同步) utput f the lunar atmic clcks as the Mn’s wn independent, cntinuus time, and t track its relatinship t UTC.That way, even if the cnnect in with Earth is lst, clcks n the Mn will still agree with each ther, allwing safe navigatin and cmmunicatins.
Setting lunar time is part f a much bigger picture. It will ne day wrk fr the mre-distant planets that space agencies are ultimately targeting, such as Mars.
32.What’s the main idea f paragraph 2?
A.The wrking principle f UTC.B.The achievements f space missin.
C.The urgency t develp satellite navigatin.D.The prblem f current lunar timing methd.
33.What is the majr barrier t defining lunar time?
A.Lack f prfessinal guidance.B.The disagreement amng metrlgists.
C.Different gravitatinal pull n the Mn.D.The cmplexity f installing master clcks.
34.What’s the advantage f defining the Mn’s independent time?
A.Keeping the clcks n the Mn crrespnding.
B.Preventing spacecraft lsing cnnectin with the Earth.
C.Helping humans land n the mre-distant planets.
D.Making it easier t synchrnize with UTC all the time.
35.What’s the best title f the text?
A.What Time Is It n the Mn?B.When will Man Settle n the Mn?
C.Lunar explratin: A Career Bund t ReviveD.GNSS: A Mre Precise Lunar Tracking System
