Micrplastics are everywhere in ur envirnment. It’s hardly surprising that the tiny fragments have als been fund in the human bdy. A new study shws that Americans are cnsuming as many as 121,000 particles each year.
Measuring 50 t 500 micrns in length, micrplastics cme frm a variety f surces, including large plastics that break dwn int smaller and smaller pieces. Therefre, much remains unknwn abut the cmmn existence f these materials within the human bdy, as well as the impact n human health.
Hping t fill in sme f these gaps, a research team, led by Kieran Cx, a Ph. D. candidate at the University f Victria, lked at 26 papers assessing the number f micrplastics in cmmnly cnsumed fd items, amng which are seafd, sugar, salt, hney, alchl and water. The team als evaluated the ptential cnsumptin f micrplastics thrugh inhalatin(吸入) using previusly reprted data n micrplastic cncentratins in the air and the Envirnmental Prtectin Agency’s data n respiratin rates. Based n these data, the researchers calculated that ur annual cnsumptin f micrplastics via fds and drinks ranges frm 39,000 t 52,000 particles. When micrplastics taken in thrugh inhalatin are taken int accunt, the range jumps t between 74,000 and 121,000 particles per year.
The authrs f the study fund that peple wh drink exclusively frm plastic water bttles absrb additinal 90,000 micrplastics each year, cmpared with 4,000 amng thse wh nly cnsume tap water. “This shws that small decisins, ver the curse f a year, really matter and have an impact.” Cx says. The new study, accrding t its authrs, was the first t investigate “the accumulative human expsure t micrplastics”. But in all likelihd, the research tells nly a small part f the entire stry. Cllectively, the fds and drinks that the researchers analyzed represent 15 percent f Americans’ calric intake. The team culd nt accunt fr fd grups like fruits, vegetables and grain because there simply is nt enugh data n their micrplastic cntent.
Fr thse wrried abut micrplastic cnsumptin, cutting dwn bttled water is a gd place t start. But fr the heart f the prblem, we have t stp prducing and using s many plastics.
32.What makes it difficult t knw micrplastics cmmnly exist in the human bdy?
    A.The quality f micrplastics.B.The quantity f micrplastics.
    C.The size f micrplastics.D.The shape f micrplastics.
33.Hw did Kieran Cx’s team calculate the ptential cnsumptin f micrplastics?
A.By analyzing existing data.B.By cmparing the impact.
    C.By studying papers.D.By cnducting experiments.
34.What can we knw accrding t the text?
A.Bttled water is the largest surce f micrplastics intake.
B.Mre infrmatin n human cnsumptin f micrplastics is needed.
    C.Peple cnsume 74,000 t 121, 000 particles per year thrugh inhalatin.
D.The study is ne f the earliest t investigate human expsure t micrplastics.
35.What is the best title fr the text?
A.The Ptential Prblems f Micrplastics.B.Micrplastics Fund Within Human Bdies.
C.Micrplastics Cming frm Varius Surces.D.The Impact f Micrplastics n Human Health.
    第二节(共5小题,每小题2.5分,满分12.5分)
    根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项,选项中有两项为多余选项。
Mst f us assume thse hyper-achievers wh are always able t squeeze in their wrkut, eat healthy fds and pick their kids up n time must have superhuman self-cntrl. But science pints t a different answer: 36 The nly catch is that building gd habits takes effrt and insight. Thankfully, here are a few research-backed steps that can set yu n the path t where yu want t be.
    1.Set a specific gal
The way yu define the gal yu hpe t turn int a habit des matter. Gals like “meditate regularly” are t abstract, research has shwn. 37 Dn’t say “I’ll meditate regularly.” Say, “I’ll meditate fr 15 minutes each day.” This is actually key t habit frmatin, making the task easy t carry ut, but it’s ften verlked.
    2.Create a detailed, cue-based plan
38 Scientists have prven that yu’ll make mre prgress tward yur gal if yu decide nt just what yu’ll d, but when and where yu’ll be cued t d it. Making this kind f plan reduces the chances yu’ll frget t fllw thrugh because the when and where in yur plan will serve as cues t actin. A plan like “I’ll study Spanish fr 30 minutes every weekday” is OK. But a detailed, cue-based plan like “Every wrkday after my last meeting, I’ll spend 30 minutes studying Spanish in my ffice” is mre likely t stick as a habit.
    3. 39
We’re strngly influenced by the behaviurs f the peple arund us, evidence shws. Want t start running regularly? Yu’re prbably better ff jining an established running club than asking a few friends wh aren’t yet in the habit f jgging t get in shape with yu. Hwever, it’s imprtant nt t get t crazy—if yu try t train with marathners when yu’re just hping t wrk up t a 5K, it can be discuraging.
    4.Make it fun t repeat
Research has shwn yu’ll persist lnger and ultimately achieve mre if yu fcus n finding ways t make gal pursuit fun. One excellent way is t try “temptatin bundling”. Research shws that temptatin bundling imprves fllw-thrugh; it transfrms gal pursuit int a surce f pleasure, nt pain. 40
A.Find the right kind f scial supprt.
B.Tell yur friends and family abut yur gals.
C.What we mistake fr willpwer is ften a natural utcme f habit.
D.Yu’ll benefit frm being mre specific abut what exactly yu aim t d and hw ften.
E.Having a bite-size bjective makes it less daunting t get started and easier t see yur prgress.
F.Nw yu have established a specific gal, it’s time t think abut what will cue yu t fllw thrugh.
G.Fr example, watch yur favrite shw while at the gym r enjy a belved pdcast while cking healthy meals.
