Sng Yingxing was a Chinese scientist and encyclpedist (百科全书编纂者) wh lived during the late Ming Dynasty. The British bichemist and histrian Jseph Needham called him "The Didert f China".
Sng Yingxing was brn in Fengxin cunty in Jiangxi prvince in 1587. He tk part in the secnd highest imperial (科举) examinatins in Beijing six times, but failed t becme a jinshi.
