Sng Yingxing was a Chinese scientist and encyclpedist （百科全书编纂者） wh lived during the late Ming Dynasty. The British bichemist and histrian Jseph Needham called him "The Didert f China".
Sng Yingxing was brn in Fengxin cunty in Jiangxi prvince in 1587. He tk part in the secnd highest imperial （科举） examinatins in Beijing six times, but failed t becme a jinshi. Tian Gng Kai Wu recrds all aspects f technlgy up t the mid-Ming perid.
