My clthes were shredded, my helm et was brken, and my face was bldied frm cuts and scratches. I made an attempt t stand up but in vain. Unable t mve an inch further, I lay n the ice shivering and in pain, waiting fr rescue.
As Mel made her way dwn, I yelled fr help, and ther climbers came t my rescue. With them rushing tward me, I sighed with relief and tears f excitement blurred my eyes. They made great effrts t relieve me f the suffering. Sme ffered t splint my leg and sme called Prtland Muntain Rescue while Mel stayed by my side, hugging me tightly t keep me warmer and less painful. S experienced and cmfrting were they that I was n lnger as frightened as befre. Eventually, I was sent t the hspital. I stayed fr a lng time. Hwever, n my recvery, with greater cautin and better preparatins I returned n the trails. One slip n a muntain can change everything but never stps me frm ding my favrite thing in the wrld.
