play tricks n sb. 意为“捉弄某人”，play jkes n sb.则是“对某人开玩笑 ”的意思

take place和happen 的区别：
(1) happen 表示偶然的没有预料到的事情的发生
take place 表示必然发生或经过布置、策划后进行的事情，表示事先安排或有准备的事情或活动的发生 还可表示“举行”的意思。
An accident happened in that street.
The sprts meeting will take place in Octber. 运动会将在十月举行。
Great changes have taken place in my hmetwn.
(2) 表示某人发生了什么事情要用 sth. happen(s) t sb.
例如：What happened t her? （她出什么事了？）
(3) 某人碰巧做某事 sb. happen t d sth.
I happened t meet him in the park yesterday.
I happened t be in the lab that day. 那天我碰巧在实验室。
两者皆不用于被动语态。
A cncert will sn take place here. 在这里即将举办一场音乐会。
The electin tk place in May, 2017. 那次选举在2017年5月举行。

as + adj./adv. + as sb. can / culd 相当于as + adj./adv. + as pssible，意为“尽可能地……”，在句中作状语。

marry sb. 意为表示“嫁给某人”、“娶了某人”或“和某人结婚”。
get married 意为“结婚”，为不及物动词短语，后面不跟宾语。get married t sb. 表示“与某人结婚”。
They gt married last year. 他们去年结婚了。
My brther gt married t a nurse last mnth. 上个月我哥哥和一名护士结婚了。
辨析：get married 与 be married
get married 强调动作，是非延续性的，不和时间段连用。
They gt married and sn had kids. 他们结婚了并且很快有了孩子。
be married 强调状态，意为“嫁/娶某人；与某人结婚”，常用于婚姻状况，可以和时间段连用。
My parents have been married fr 30 years. 我的父母结婚三十年了。
She married Jhn last year. = She gt married t Jhn last year.
= She has been married t Jhn fr ne year.她去年嫁给了Jhn。
get married和marry都指结婚的动作，不能与fr+时间段连用；
be married 表示状态，可用于现在完成时中，和fr +时间段连用。
She had been married fr 8 years.

run ut f 意为“用完；耗尽（供应品）” 。

辨析：run ut f 与 run ut
run ut f 表示“用完；耗尽（供应品）”，是及物短语动词，其主语常是人，其后可直接跟宾语。常用结构 sb. runs ut f sth.。
run ut 表示“用完；耗尽”，是不及物短语动词，其主语常是物（时间、金钱、食物等），其后不能接宾语，无被动语态。常用结构 sth. runs ut。
