    The idea f turning recycled plastic bttles int clthing is nt new.     Dr. Mark Brwne in Santa Barbara, Califrnia, has been studying plastic pllutin and micrfibers fr 10 years nw. S every time the water gets ut f a washing machine, micrfibers are entering the sewers and finally end up in the sea.
    In 2011, Brwne wrte a paper stating that a single piece f synthetic clthing can prduce mre than 1,900 fibers per wash. Brwne cllected samples frm seawater and freshwater sites arund the wrld, and used a special way t examine each sample. He discvered that every single water sample cntained micrfibers.
