Fr example, whales in New Zealand's Hauraki Gulf cnsume rughly three millin micrplastics daily, accrding t research published in Science f the Ttal Envirnment, which analyzed whale waste t see hw much micrplastics were present.
"Other research has shwn that if plastics are small enugh, they can crss the gut (肠道) wall and get int internal rgans thugh the lng-term effects are still unclear. Plastics can als release chemicals that are harmful t digestive system," says Kahane-Rapprt.
