    Listen, read the diary entry and think abut:
    1 What des “Naadam” mean? Which events des it include?
    Read the diary entry and answer the questins.
    Naadam means “games” in Mnglian, and it includes hrse racing, wrestling, and archery.
    2 What Naadam Festival custms did yu learn abut?
    Wrestling and hrse racing.

    July 4, 2018Tday was my first furth f July celebratin, and I’ll always remember it because it was s wnderful. The furth f July is Independence Day in the US—the anniversary f the day the United States became its wn cuntry in 1776.I began the day by packing my swimming suit and a twel. Then I went with my hst family t a supermarket t lad up n fd and drinks. After that we were ff t a friend’s ranch ut in the cuntry fr a barbecue and pl party.
    It was all s amazing! While the adults cked fd n the barbecue, we played in the pl. Then we all ate and ate until we were cmpletely stuffed. Our friends had sme ld ice cream churners, s after lunch we all tk turns churning hmemade ice cream. Since the temperature utside was arund 40 degrees, it seemed like the ice cream tk frever! I wuld turn the handle n the churn until my arm was sre, and then smene else wuld take ver.
    But it was all wrth it, because when we were finished it was the mst fantastic ice cream I have ever eaten! Then, smene asked me if I wuld like t try hrseback riding. I was afraid at first, but they gave me a very gentle hrse. It was s peaceful t ride the hrse thrugh the fields and frest. Finally, when it grew dark, we had a thrilling firewrks display.Nw I’m back hme with my hst family. Thugh I’m tired, I think this had t be the mst exciting day f my life! I can’t wait fr next year!
