    It is n secret that China has an amazingly rich histry and culture. My first expsure (接触) t Chinese culture came ttally by chance. One day, I entered my grandfather’s persnal library and tk a bk named Ta Te Ching frm ne f the shelves. As an 8-year-ld, the bk’s cntent cmpletely cnfused me, but it prvided me with an early cnnectin t a beautiful and great philsphical (哲学的) traditin that still influences me tday.
    Arund this time, I als came acrss several cartns heavily inspired by traditinal Chinese culture and martial arts such as Avatar: The Last Airbender and Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat. Bth cartns describe beautiful landscapes and buildings similar t thse fund in classical Chinese paintings. This further develped my lve f the rich and beautiful culture.
    At schl I began studying Chinese. My interest in the language develped early n, cmbining my lve f travelling with my lve f meeting new peple. Later n, my interest in the language develped int explring widespread Chinese culture. I wanted t challenge myself in a ttally new linguistic (语言的) landscape and listen t the lives and stries f thers in their wn language.
