Keeping dyeing (染色工艺) traditin alive
Knwn as “sft gld”, gambiered Cantn gauze (香云纱) is the best silk fabric (布料) fr chengsam (旗袍). It feels smth and cmfrtable, easy t wash and dry, and is als gd fr peple’s health.

T dye the fabric, wrkers put it in yam juice and then let it dry n the grass. They d this many times until it turns brwnish-yellw. Then, they put river mud n it t help the yam react fully. After washing and drying again, the fabric turns black!
