（1），及nt als...在连接并列成分作主语时，谓语动词遵循"就近原则"，即:谓语动词的人称和数由距离动词最近的那个主语决定。如：①Either Jack r Kevin is ging t the meeting this afternn.杰克或者凯文今天下午将去开会。②Neither he nr I have been abrad befre.他和我之前都没有出过国。③Nt nly the teacher but als the students want t have an English party.不仅老师，学生们也想开一个英语派对。
（2）连接两个并列主语时，谓语动词用复数。如：Bth Tm and Jim are ging t jin the speech cmpetitin.汤姆和吉姆都将参加演讲比赛。（3）but和thugh/althugh, because和s不能同时出现在一个句子中。
when引导的时间状语从句的谓语动词既可以是延续性的，也可以是非延续性的; while引导的时间状语从句的谓语动词只能是延续性的。如：①Laura was nine when she first saw him. 劳拉在九岁的时候第一次见到他。②Anna fund it while/when she was walking n the street. 安娜走在街上时发现了它。
（1）在含as sn as等引导的时间状语从句的主从复合句中，若主句用一般将来时，从句要用一般现在时表将来。如：As sn as the machine is put int use, it'll save a lt f time and mney. 这台机器一投入使用，就会节约大量时间和金钱。
（2）在含if, unless等引导的条件状语从句的主从复合句中，若主句用一般将来时，从句要用一般现在时表将来。 如：①If there is lve, hme will becme the sweetest place in the wrld.如果有爱，家会成为世界上最惬意的地方。②He wn't g t sleep unless yu tell him a stry.除非你给他讲个故事，否则他不会睡觉。
与名词单数连用时的结构：●s+形容词+a/an+单数可数名词+that【注意】s修饰形容词He's never spken t s large a crwd befre that he is very nervus.他以前从未在这么多听众面前讲过话，他非常紧张。●such+a/an+形容词+单数可数名词+that【注意】such修饰名词或名词短语The questin is such an easy ne that everybdy knws the answer. 这道题如此简单，大家都知道答案。
