    Ryan Hnary, a 12-year-ld student in Califrnia, has persnal experience with wildfires. One day, he was with his father at a tennis turnament when he saw wildfires raging acrss his hme state n TV. “I called my mm and asked if she was kay.” Ryan recalls.     That’s when Ryan decided t create a way t detect wildfires early — befre they get ut f cntrl. He linked tgether a series f mini cmputers that had sensrs t detect smke. When smke was detected, data was transferred wirelessly t anther cmputer, which served as a mini meterlgical(气象的) statin.
    Ryan brught his entire system t a park and tested it by hlding the flame frm a lighter in frnt f each sensr. When they sensed a fire, they infrmed the detectr.
