根据第四段中的“When they sensed a fire, they infrmed the detectr. It then alerted an app that Ryan built fr his phne.”和“The app tk lessns frm hw this fire had traveled ver time. Using thse data, the app ‘learned’ t tell hw flames at future events might spread.”
2.答案:A
根据第二段中的“I called my mm and asked if she was kay”可知,当看到家乡发生野火后,Ryan关切地给妈妈打电话以确认她的安全,由此可知他是关心他人的人;根据第二段中的“Once he knew that she was fine, he asked his dad why wildfires gt ut f cntrl s ften. ‘We're planning t send peple t Mars but we can't detect wildfires,’ Ryan says.”及第三段中的“That's when Ryan decided t create a way t detect wildfires early—befre they get ut f cntrl.” 故选A(关心他人且有创造力的)。

16.答案:①-⑤FADCE
解析:①空前“As we dive int the New Year with fresh reslutins, a big questin is: Hw lng are we ging t stick with them?(当我们带着新的决心进入新年时,一个大问题是:我们能坚持多久?)”
②空前“In daily life, we’re driven by ur habits, which cme easily. We can drive, listen t the radi and chew gum at the same time.(在日常生活中,我们很容易被习惯所驱使。 说明我们能轻松地完成生活中的一些事情,空后“We need t get rid f distractins and stay fcused.(我们需要摆脱干扰,保持专注。)”说明要完成空格处所说的事情是不容易的,A选项“But wrking tward a new gal can require a lt f brain pwer.(但是朝着一个新的目标努力可能需要大量的脑力。)”
③空前“One way t bridge this gap is t track what we’ve achieved each day.(弥补这种差距的一种方法是记录我们每天所取得的成就。)”
