    T prepare fr such risks, humans build seed (种子) banks---a type f bank where seeds frm lts f different plants are kept safe. These seed banks serve as repsitries f genetic diversity(基因多样性资源库), making sure that valuable plants are prtected fr future use.

Thugh seed banks are a great idea, they are nt perfect. Fr example, seed banks are nt suitable fr all the plant species. A 2018 study shwed that 36% f endangered plant species cannt be stred in seed banks. Species like cffee and bananas need special care and cannt be stred in this way.
