人称代词是为了避免重复，用来代替前面提到过的人、事物等名词的词，主要包括“你、我、他，她／它、你们、我们、他们／她们／它们”等代词。人称代词有人称、单复数以及格的变化。
（1）人称代词的主格，在句子中作主语：I like ftball，but he likes basketball. 我喜欢足球，而他喜欢篮球。They g t schl by bus. 他们乘公共汽车上学。
（2）人称代词的宾格，在句子中作宾语： Please give him the bk. 请把这本书给他。 Let me help them. 让我来帮助他们。
（3）多个人称代词并列作主语或宾语时，排列次序为：① 单数：你＞他／她＞我，如：Yu, she and I are ging t the bkstre. 你、我和她要去书店。These apples are given t yu，her，and me. 这些苹果是给你、我和她的。② 复数：我们＞你们＞他们／她们，如：We，yu and they are all gd students. 我们、你们和他们都是好学生。注：在承认错误时，第一人称要放在最前面，如：I and Peter made the teacher angry. 我和彼得让老师生气了。
① 指代动物和无生命的东西，一般译为“它”。如：I find a dg.It’s a lvely dg. 我发现一只狗。它是一只可爱的狗。Lk at the huse ver there.It is my huse. 看那栋房子，它是我的房子。② 指代不知是男孩还是女孩的婴儿。如：What a lvely baby! Is it a girl？ 多可爱的小宝宝！是个女孩吗？③指代不确定的人或事物（常用在打电话、应门时）。如：-Wh is it？ 谁呀？        -It’s me. 是我。-Is it yur father？ 是你父亲吗？        -N，it’s my uncle. 不，是我叔叔。
④ 指代时间、天气、季节、距离等，作主语，此时it不翻译成“它”。如：It is five ’clck．现在5点钟。     It is ging t rain.天要下雨了。It is abut five minutes’ walk frm my hme t the shp．从我家到商店步行大约需要5分钟。⑤ 指代this,that，如：This is yur plan, isn’t it? 这是你的计划，对吗？What’s that n the desk? I guess it might be a rbt. 桌子上是什么？ 我猜可能是一个机器人。

① 指代动物和无生命的东西，一般译为“它”。② 指代不知是男孩还是女孩的婴儿。③指代不确定的人或事物（常用在打电话、应门时）。④ 指代时间、天气、季节、距离等，作主语，此时it不翻译成“它”。⑤ 指代this,that。
物主代词是表示所属关系的代词，可分为形容词性物主代词和名词性物主代词。
（1）形容词性物主代词相当于形容词，不能单独使用，后面接名词。人称、数和性别取决于所指代的名词。
This is my bk.Yur bk is ver there.这是我的书，你的书在那里。Where did Mary find her pen？玛丽在哪里找到了她的钢笔？
注：形容词性物主代词后可加wn, 意为“某人自己的”，如： Sally has her wn cmputer. 萨利有她自己的电脑。
（2）名词性物主代词相当于名词，能单独使用，相当于形容词性物主代词＋名词, 后面不能再加名词。如：These bks are urs.（urs＝ur bks）这些书是我们的。Yu use yur wn cmputer，and I use mine.（mine＝my cmputer）你用你的电脑，我用我的。
注：名词性物主代词还可以和f连用，如：Sue is a friend f mine.= Sue is my friend. 苏是我的一个朋友。
