Micrplastic pllutin is increasing greatly arund the glbe, accrding t a study f plastic particles (微粒)carried in the air.
Peple are already knwn t breathe, drink and eat micrplastics, and research suggests that pllutin levels will cntinue t rise rapidly. The researchers said that breathing in these particles can be harmful t lung tissue and lead t serius diseases.
Prfessr Natalie Mahwald at Crnell University in the US and part f the research team, said, “But maybe we culd slve this befre it becmes a huge prblem, if we manage ur plastics better, befre they accumulate in the envirnment and mve arund everywhere.”
The research, published in the jurnal Prceedings f the Natinal Acadenry f Sciences, examined airbrne (空气传播的)micrplastics, which have been far less studied than plastics in ceans and rivers.
