And we did watch them. They chattered and leaped back and frth n the lawn just utside ur apartment windw. Meghan was absrbed, but as I watched them, I still thught abut my wrk.
    Suddenly she rushed ut frm the rm, and I heard her naked feet slapping against the wden flr utside. She returned with her dll, Dumpty. She held him up t the windw, stretching him ut by his tw arms and whispering int his nnexistent ear. "Bib-bibs, Dumpty, bib-bibs!" Then I left them in cnversatin and returned t my desk.
