Aurra brealis, als knwn as the nrthern lights, is a natural light shw in the sky, mst cmmnly seen in the high-latitude regins（高纬度地区）. It is caused by the interactin between charged particles（带电粒子） frm the sun and the Earth’s magnetic field（磁场）. The mst cmmn clrs seen in the aurra are green, red, and blue.
Aurras ften seem t be very clse t the grund, but the lwest aurra is still abut 100 kilmeters abve the grund, a distance much higher than cluds are frmed r airplanes can fly. An aurra band can be thusands f kilmeters lng, a few hundred kilmeters high, but nly a few humdred meters thick. As far as scientists can tell, aurras d nt make any sunds that peple n Earth can hear. Even s, if yu live in a place where aurras can be seen, yu might ntice prblems with yur televisin, radi, r cell phne at times.
