One afternn, Einstein was walking hme frm wrk. At the same time, a 12-year-ld girl was walking hme frm schl. They were sn walking side by side. The girl lked at him curiusly frm time t time. “Pardn me,” the girl said, “but yu lk just like Albert Einstein.”
“That’s because I am Albert Einstein!” Einstein said. “I dn’t believe yu,” the girl said. “Everyne knws that Einstein is a genius. But yu’re wearing yur sweater backwards, s yu can’t be very clever.”
After that day, the girl ften went t visit Einstein’s huse after schl. One afternn, the girl’s mther went t visit Einstein. She asked him why he spent s much time with her daughter.
Einstein began t laugh. “Yu’re the first persn t be s hnest with me,” he said t the girl. “It’s a pleasure t hear smene tell me the truth abut my lk.”
“Our friendship is easy t explain,” Einstein said. “Yur daughter tells me the truth abut my lk and brings me ckies. In return, I help her with her Maths hmewrk.”
