nbdy为复合不定代词,意为“没有人”,相当于n ne,它只可指人。nbdy作主语时,谓语动词用单数第三人称形式。

seven and a half years意为 “7年半”,相当于seven years and a half。英语中,如果要表达“……半”时,有两种方法
①基数词+and+a half+名词复数”②“基数词+名词复数+and+a half(当基数词为ne时,名词用单数)”
I’ve been in Canada fr seven and a half years. 我在加拿大已经待了七年半。tw and a half hurs=tw hurs and a half两个半小时fur and a half kils=fur kils and a half 4.5千克
辨析almst 和nearly这两个单词意思相近，在肯定句中可以互换使用，一般来说，almst的差距比nearly小。
The game was almst ver…比赛差不多快结束了。在差一刻开午饭时，可以说：It’s nearly lunchtime. 快到午餐时间了。在差5分钟开饭午时，可以说：It’s almst lunchtime. 马上就要开饭了。
almst可以和never, n, nne, nthing， nbdy, nwhere, t, mre than等词（组）连用。almst 和 nearly 都可用在行为动词的否定形式之前。

against为介词,意为“反对;与……相反”,常与play, fight, prtect等动词连用。play against表示“与……进行比赛/对抗”。
