    Analysis f the teaching material
    Tpic f Unit Five: this unit mainly deals with fruits and ur likes r dislikes t different kinds f fruits. This lessn is the first lessn f this unit. It cnsists f tw parts: let’s learn and let’s chant. In let’s learn part, there are fur new wrds: apple, pear, banana, range, and three new sentence patterns: “D yu like sth.?” and its answers: “Yes, I d.” “N, I dn’t.” The chant helps students cnslidate the new wrds. This lessn is very clse t students’ daily life, s I believe that they will be very interested in this lessn.
    Analysis f the students
    Students in Grade 3 are inncent and lively; they have great curisity in new things, fr example, ppular sngs, interesting cartns and games, clrful pictures and cute tys. They have learned English fr less than ne year, s their English knwledge are limited, but mst f them are very interested in English learning and English speaking. Based n the principle f “Learning Thrugh Play”, I will try my best t make my class mre lively and interesting.
    Teaching Aims
    Knwledge Aim:students can master the fur new wrds: apple, range, pear, banana; students can understand and say the cre sentence pattern:D yu And answer it with “Yes, I d./N, I dn’t.”
    Ability Aim: Enables students t use the key wrds and sentence patterns apprpriately accrding t practical ccasins.
    Emtin Aim: students can understand that fruit is gd fr their health thrugh the saying: an apple a day keeps the dctr away.

    Step 1 Greetings
    Say hell t students; simply intrduce myself, and talk with students.
    Divide students int tw teams: “Chen Jie” & “Jhn”, let them cmpete with the ther team fr rewards.
    Say hell t new teacher;
    Talk with new teacher;
    Knw which team they are in.
    Get familiar with students quickly;
    Encurage them t answer my questins actively.
    Step 2 Warm-up and lead-in
    Sing a sng “Apple Red” tgether with students, accmpanying dancing mvements.
    Stand up and sing tgether with teacher.
    Warm up class atmsphere and intrduce the theme f this lessn--- “fruit” t students.
    Step 3 Presentatin
    A. Shw a “fruit heart” with PPT, getting students familiar with different kinds f fruit.
    B. Use a “magic-bag” t present the new wrds: invite fur students cme t the platfrm and take the fruits ut f the bag.
    C.Teach the new wrds in chanting frms. Emphasize the prnunciatins f “apple” and “range”.
    D.Shw students with sme phts: I’m buying sme fruit in a supermarket. Teach them the plural frms f “apple, pear, banana, range”. Insert the plural frms int the new sentence patterns: “D yu ” “Yes, I d.” “N, I dn’t.” and teach students t read the new sentences.
    Answer teacher’s questins: names f the fruits;
    Cme t the platfrm and guess fruit.
    Clap hands and chant tgether with teacher
    Read after teacher; answer teacher’s questins.
    Use real fruits and teacher’s pictures t present the new wrds and sentences, arusing students’ interests.

    Practice & Cnslidatin
    A. Quick answer: 7 pictures f fruits mve fast ne by ne
    B. Let’s chant
    C. Shw students with a dialgue between Chen Jie and Jhn, let them imitate the dialgue in pairs.
    D. Create a situatin: tday is sunny, let’s have a picnic. Take ut a basket f fruit, inviting 2-3 pairs f students t perfrm their dialgues in frnt f their classmates.
    E. Stry time: the stry highlights the theme f this lessn “fruit keeps us happy and healthy”.
    F. Sing a sng “An apple a day keeps the dctr away” tgether.
    Students race t be the first t answer.
    Chant tgether.
    Make dialgues with their classmates with the help f the wrd cards.
    Cme t the platfrm t perfrm the dialgue.
    Read “Sakura Mmk” and “dctr”’s lines ; understand the meaning f the stry.
    Sing the sng tgether with
    Clrful pictures, fierce cmpetitin and the chant helps students remember the news wrds firmly; situatinal teaching methd is used in dialgue practice part; a stry and a cheerful English sng make students understand “An apple a day keeps the dctr away” better.
