By alternating the electric stimulatin between the left and right leg every 5 secnds, the bihybrid rbt successfully "walked" at the speed f 5.4m m/min（0.002 mph）. T turn, researchers repeatedly zapped the right leg every 5 secnds while the left leg served as an anchr.
The rbt made a 90-degree left turn in 62 secnds. The findings shwed that the muscle-driven bipedal rbt can walk, stp, and make fine-tuned turning mtins.
"Currently, we are manually mving a pair f electrdes t apply an electric field individually t the legs, which takes time," says Takeuchi. "In the future, by integrating the electrdes int the rbt, we expect t increase the speed mre efficiently.
