It is t develp the students’ abilities f listening and speaking. Students can use the structure t cmmunicate.

    Hw t express date and rdinal numbers in English.

    1). Hw t remember the wrds abut mnths and use f rdinal numbers.
    2).Ask abut the birthdays f ther peple.

    1. Frm the warm-up activity
    Sing the sng “Happy birthday” tgether.
    (Play the flash f this sng. )
    Shw the wrds f the sng n the screen . And clr the wrd birthday.
    Sing with the teacher. All the student can sing this sng in Chinese. And they are required try t sing in English fllwing the flash.
    2. Lead in :
    T: Our birthdays are in different mnths. Then wh can tell me hw many mnths there are in a year.
    Ss: answer in chrus: twelve.
    T: D yu knw what the name f each mnth is ?
    Ss: N.
    T: Ok. I’ll shw yu . Here is a calendar, this is January, read after me , “January”.
    Write the new wrds n the Bb.
    Ss: read after the teacher and try t prnunce and practice writing it .
    The same way t teach the fllwing.
    3. Play the recrding f 1a.
    Ss nly listen.
    4.Play the recrding fr the secnd time.
    At the beginning, the teacher sets the samples fr the students. And then help them learn t say “When is yur birthday?”
    Ss listen and repeat the wrds.
    5. Help the students t find ut hw t express the date.
    Wrk in pairs and find ut the way f express the date.
    6. Teach the rdinal numbers. First give the chart f the cntrast f cardinal and rdinal numbers .
    Wrk in grup f fur and discuss the rules f changing cardinals int rdinals.
    Based n the students’ discussin, sum up as a pithy frmula.
