“We ften frget hw lucky we are t have a bed t sleep in at night after a lng day f wrk r schl, and hw nice it feels. Hmeless peple have n shelters(避难所) r even n beds,” said Addie Rberts frm Teens Give Back SATX. With this in mind, Rberts and her friends decided t use ld grcery bags t make smething valuable fr San Antni’s hmeless peple.
Making these sleeping mats takes time, hard wrk, and teamwrk. Each mat needs abut 700 t 900 plastic bags, and it can take 15—20 hurs t finish ne. Even thugh the prject is a lt f wrk, the yung peple are determined t help their cmmunity.
