Therefre, I’ve decided t wrk hard and study as usual but ccasinally give myself a break, and d what I can t avid getting ver-stressed abut tests and assignments. This means I will put in effrt when necessary in rder t make sure I am always caught up r ahead f class material.

In the spring, the western tanagers(唐纳雀)prepared t migrate(迁徙)thusands f miles t the frests f the Muntain West, flying thrugh grasslands, deserts, and ccasinally, suburban yards.
T fuel them n their lengthy jurney, western tanagers feed n insects and berries. They must take advantage f the early-seasn bm in insects that started with springtime plant grwth t prduce healthy yung. But as glbal climate change caused spring t start earlier, birds such as western tanagers were arriving at their destinatin after what was knwn as “green-up”, when flwers began blming and insects ppped up. With the shift f the time when plants put ut new leaves, western tanagers became mre likely t reach their destinatins when fd is in shrtage r after insect numbers have begun t drp.
Sctt Lss, a prfessr at Oklahma State University and his clleagues used satellite imagery t calculate the average start f spring green-up alng the typical migratin rutes f 150 Nrth American bird species, and then cmpared that timing with the current green-up. They fund that spring was indeed beginning earlier alng birds’ migratin rutes. The trend cntinued this year.
The paper cntinued t build this picture f the inability f birds t track the changing seasns caused by climate change. Timing mismatches between birds and their fd culd affect whether birds survived the migratin and hw many chicks they had.
Mrgan Tingley, an researcher at UCLA said that the migratin research culd indicate cnservatin effrts in the future. “Part f it suggested which species were vulnerable(易受伤害的)t varius threats,” Tingley said. “This added t the knwledge abut vulnerability f a wide range f bird species.” And he hped that the infrmatin wuld serve t highlight the urgent need t lwer greenhuse-gas emissins as fast as pssible: “It was really imprtant, if we culdn’t address climate change immediately, t try t stp habitat lss as much as we can.”
28.During the migratin, what will happen t the western tanagers after “green-up”?
    A. They will struggle t find enugh insects and berries.

    D. The increase f difficulty in bidiversity cnservatin.

One thing that many Americans can agree n, even in an era f deep plitical plarizatin(两极分化), is that ur cuntry is in a mral free fall. In survey after survey, US adults f all ages, educatin levels, plitical r religius backgrunds say that peple are less kind, hnest, generus, and respectful than they used t be. S is ur natin’s mral fundatin falling apart?
Nt necessarily. In fact, tw psychlgists, Clumbia’s Adam Mastrianni and Harvard’s Daniel Gilbert, say that the widespread belief in mral decline(下降)is a miscnceptin. They recently cnducted a meta-analysis f all the majr surveys that asked Americans abut the state f mral values in this cuntry and they fund that US residents have been cmplaining abut ne anther’s declining mrality fr as lng as researchers have been seeking their pinins n the matter. And yet when individual respndents are asked multiple times, ver the span f a decade r mre, t describe the level f pliteness and kindness they bserve in their fellw citizens, their descriptins f ther peple’s attitudes and behavirs d nt actually wrsen at all.
Mastrianni and Gilbert, whse paper appears in the jurnal Nature, say the results f similar surveys cnducted in dzens f ther cuntries ver the decades suggest that peple all ver the wrld are easy t be influenced by the miscnceptin that their peers are less mral than they nce were. They say that this miscnceptin is likely explained by tw well-established psychlgical phenmena acting tgether: that we tend t pay clser attentin t negative rather than psitive infrmatin abut peple’s actins in the present day; and that we tend t selectively frget such negative impressins as the years rll n, leaving us with gd memries fr the past.
Mastrianni and Gilbert als say that their discvery has imprtant scial and plitical implicatins, especially given that, as ne 2015 survey fund, three-quarters f all Americans believe that addressing the mral breakdwn f the cuntry shuld be a high pririty(优先项)fr the gvernment. “The United States faces many well-dcumented prblems, frm climate change and terrrism t racial injustice and ecnmic inequality — and yet, nwadays it is believed that the gvernment shuld devte fewer resurces t reversing an imaginary trend.”
32.What is the functin f the first paragraph?
    A. T prvide a histrical review f American sciety.
    B. T present cntrasting viewpints n mral decline.
    C. T intrduce the tpic f mral decline in American sciety.
    D. T discuss the methd f psychlgical research n mral decline.
33.What is the main argument presented by Mastrianni and Gilbert in their research?
    A. The mrality f American sciety seems t be n a rapid rise.
    B. American citizens’ belief in declining mrality is a false idea.
    C. The mral breakdwn has already been a lng-term issue in America.
    D. American sciety has realized its wn miscnceptin f mral decline.
34.Accrding t the passage, what is the reasn fr the widespread belief in mral decline?
    A. Selective memry abut previus impressins.
    B. The mixed influence f psychlgical phenmena.
    C. Negative descriptins f mrality frm peers.
    D. Lack f gvernment invlvement in mral issues.
35.What des Mastrianni and Gilbert’s research imply n scial and plitical views?
    A. Americans shuld attach mre imprtance t glbal issues.
    B. Americans shuld help the gvernment reverse the mral decline.
    C. Gvernment resurces shuld be fcused n addressing the mral decline.
    D. Addressing the imaginary mral breakdwn shuld nt be a tp chice.

故填Thus/Therefre/S。
故填A。
故填which。
