In Taipei, the capital f Taiwan, there are many ld streets with names like Nanjing Rad and Guilin Rad. They are the names f mainland （祖国） cities. Zheng Dingbang a Chinese architect （建筑师） named these streets.
In 1945, after the surrender （投降） f Japan, Taiwan came back t China. Peple wanted t change the Japanese rad names int Chinese names. In 1946, Zheng Dingbang went t wrk in Taiwan. He had an idea — why nt name the rads after mainland cities?
