    Step 1. Warm-up
    Sing a sng t greet my children. Here, I want t frm a relaxing atmsphere.
    Shw them a ty dg t make them get ready fr the tpic abut a stry f the Wu’s family with their pet dgs.Here, I want the kids t be interested in the tpic.
    Step 2. Presentatin
    Free talk.
    After having an abstract impressin f the tpic, we will talk freely abut the family’s daily life with their dg t make students get well prepared fr Wu Yifan’s diary.What’s mre, I want t set a situatin fr the children t experience befre reading.
    Read and chse.
    Firstly, I will let my students listen t the tape recrding f the diary,then they will be asked t chse a title fr the stry. This step is t guide them t get the general idea f this diary.
    Number the pictures.
    And secndly,I will shw three pictures fr the kids t make a right rder s that they can get the main ideas f the first tw paragraphs .
    Mrever, students will get sme detailed infrmatin f the diary.
    4.Skimming and scanning.
    Thirdly, the children in this class will read the paragraphs ne by ne t get mre details abut the Wu’s stry by watching a vide, and by finding the answers f sme questins given t them . This is t get students fcused n the diary , and t develp the students’ ability f reading by themselves.
    Make a cnclusin.
    After analyzing the diary, my students shuld make a cnclusin abut that day. Here, I want my students t learn t summarize the ending by themselves and I als want the class t be students-centered.
    Step 3. Practice
    1. My students will read after the tape recrding , after that, they will read in different ways t get a deep impressin f the whle passage. Here, my students are led t get right prnunciatin, and t get cmplete cgnitin f the diary again as well.
    2. Rle-play. T get a deeper impressin and t put what we’ve learned int practice , my students will retell the stry by perfrming Wu Yifan and his grandpa’s phne call.
    Step 4. Cnslidatin and extensin
    Writing.
    At first, I will share my day with them ,and then they will write their wn days and share them with us, t.Here,I want the kids t put what we have gt in the class int use.
    Mral educatin.
    The yung children will be guided t have gd md in time f facing different things every day. Students are expected t have right attitude twards “bad” things . I think it’s mre imprtant t guide children t live happily than t have success in study.
    Hmewrk
    Read the dairy three times.
    Talk with their friends abut their bad but als gd days.
    This step is t make the kids learn English nt nly in class but als after class.
