Back in the 1990s, Henry Rtich wh is frm Kenya, did nt knw much abut China, with his best cnnectin t the cuntry being a teakettle made in Shanghai that was wned by his grandmther.

In the last hundred years, the Bali mynah (巴厘岛白椋鸟) has been sught after fr its white feathers and blue skin.
The capture fr sale alng with the bird's habitat lss led t its being listed as “threatened” in 1988. In 1994 the Bali mynah was mved t “critically endangered”. By 2001, experts estimated nly abut six Bali mynahs were living in the wild, with thusands in captivity (圈养) acrss the wrld.

The researchers chse 24 emjis that represented six emtins: happy, disgusted, fearful, sad, surprised r angry, based n the suggested nes that appear when yu type ut these wrds. There were fur emjis per emtin, representing the different designs used by Apple, Windws, Andrid and WeChat. Each participant then assigned the emjis t the emtin that they thught was the best match.
Wmen were mre likely t match the emjis t the same emtins chsen by the researchers, cmpared with the men. It may be that wmen are better at recgnizing facial expressins, pssibly because they make mre eye cntact, accrding t the team. The yunger participants als matched up the emjis better than their lder cunterparts, perhaps because they use these mre ften.
