Wrkers in the hmes, schls and hspitals say that ur pets make a big difference. They bring happiness int the lives f sick and disabled peple.
Since its beginning, ver 18,000 pets and their wners have vlunteered with PAT-A-PET. All ur pets are well-behaved and have gd tempers. They lve peple and are gd with children.Tday there are 3,500 PAT-A-PET dgs and cats at wrk in the UK. Every week these friendly dgs and cats give mre than 10,000 peple the chance t pat a pet. But we need mre!

Tuching the Vid is a bk by Je Simpsn, the muntaineer. It tells the stry f hw Simpsn and anther muntaineer, Simn Yates, almst died trying t climb the 6344-metre Siula Grande Muntain(斯拉格兰山)in the Andes(安第斯山脉)in 1985. In 2003 the bk became an award-winning film.
Yates and Simpsn reached the tp f the muntain and became the first peple t climb the Siula Grande by the west face. But a disaster happened n the way dwn. Simpsn fell and brke his leg. The men were running ut f water and needed t get back t their camp,abut 900 metres belw,t get treatment fr Simpsn.
Yates tried t help Simpsn t climb dwn the muntain. He started t lwer him dwn the muntain n a rpe. But the rpe tangled and Simpsn was hanging in the mid-air. Yates culdn't see r hear Simpsn, but he culd feel himself being pulled dwn the muntain. He tried t stp himself slipping. He held n f an hur but finally decided that Simpsn must be dead. S he cut the rpe, t stp himself frm being pulled ver the edge,and let Simpsn fall.
In fact, Simpsn was nt dead. He fell anther 100 feet and landed n a bridge f ice. Frm there he crawled fr three days,withut fd r water,until he reached the camp.Yates was shcked that he had almst killed his friend, but Simpsn said he wuld have dne exactly the same thing!
