记叙文是以记人叙事为主要内容,以叙述为主要表达方式的文体。介绍人物的生平事迹,这是记人;记叙事情的发生、发展和前因后果,这是记事。但是记人和叙事是分不开的,记人需要用具体事件来表现人物,而叙事的灵魂是事件中人物的所作所为。故事、传记、游记、日记、人物介绍、新闻报道、成语典故、文学传记等都属于记叙文体。
记叙文六要素,五个W(wh, what, when, where,why)和一个H(hw)
记叙文的开头通常交代事件的背景,即交代事件发生的时间、地点、有关人物和人与人之间的相互关系等内容。记叙文的展开通常可以从几个方面入手:以事件发生的顺序记叙;以人物活动的时间顺序为线索;按空间位置变换组织材料。
由于记叙文有清晰的故事线索和情节,讲述的是已经发生的事情,因此常用一般过去时。在人称使用上,第一人称主要是用于讲述本人经历或目睹的事件,用第三人称则主要是叙述他人的经历和事情。
Many years ag, I visited my grandmther in the cuntryside. When I gt there, she was lking thrugh sme things in a large, ld bx. The bx cntained bks, sme clthes and ther bits and pieces. She called this her “memry bx” and said that it reminded her f things that she smetimes frgt. She shwed me sme phtgraphs f her as a girl playing n the beach with sme ther girls.

There is a small bike lying quietly in ur garage. It is quite ld and I can n lnger ride it, but I still keep it there, as it brings back a sweet memry.Many years ag, it was a Sunday mrning n my sixth birthday. My father bught me a new bike. I culd nt wait t get n it and learn hw t ride, s I begged my father t teach me in the garden.
After I sat n the new bike, my father helped me put my tw hands n the handlebars and my feet n the pedals. Then, he pushed the bike s that the pedals started t mve. I was scared! But my father kept encuraging me. I culd cycle arund the garden shrtly after my first try. It was amazing. But unluckily, I was s busy waving at him that I didn’t see a small tree in frnt f me.
I hit it and fell ff the bike. It hurt a lt and I started t cry. My father encuraged me t stand up, be brave and try again. Gradually, I was able t ride the bike mre skillfully. I kept riding the bike until it was t small fr me. It is still ne f my mst precius pssessins, fr nt nly was it my first bike, but a symbl f my curage as well as my father’s lve. And I learnt that lve has great pwer.
