阅读下面短文,根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。 When yu wke up tday, yu turned n the lights, ran the ht water in the shwer, put n clthes, watched televisin, drve t wrk in yur car, and checked yur e-mail n yur cmputer r phne. Tday we have thusands f useful things that have been invented in the past 100 years. In fact, we depend n these things fr the gd life that we have nw.
While all these inventins have been certainly imprtant t humans, the ne that has been the mst imprtant in making peple's health better ver the centuries is the discvery f antibitics (抗生素). The Black Death, which killed millins f Eurpeans 600 years ag, was nthing mre than bacteria (细菌). Back then, n ne knew that this disease culd have easily been treated with penicillin (青霉素). The Black Death finally disappeared, but peple were still in danger f dying frm simple bacteria.
Even as recently as 100 years ag, medical knwledge was mre limited (有限的) than it is nw. Smething as cmmn as a simple cut culd smetimes result in a serius prblem r even death if it became infected (感染病菌的). Dctrs knew what was happening; hwever, there was simply n way t stp the infectin frm spreading r causing mre harm. The discvery f penicillin in the early part f the twentieth century changed all f that. Antibitics finally enabled humans t enjy their gd health and cntinue their lives fr many mre years.
When we have an infectin nwadays, we d nt think abut it t much. We g t the dctr, wh will give us sme kind f medicine. We take this medicine as directed, and then, after a few days, we are healthy again. The medicine is prbably a frm f antibitics. These antibitics are painless and fast acting. Withut them, many peple wuld have t experience painful and deadly illnesses.
One pssible versin:Many imprtant things have been invented in the last century, but the mst imprtant was the discvery f antibitics. (要点1) Six hundred years ag, millins f Eurpeans died frm the Black Death. N ne knew hw t treat the disease then. (要点2) Medicine was limited until the discvery f penicillin in the early twentieth century. (要点3) Nwadays antibitics are used t treat a number f diseases successfully. (要点4)
