    Fr inspiratin, the researchers lked t gall midge larvae (瘿蚊幼虫) that miraculusly thrw themselves acrss distances 30 times
    as lng as their lglike bdies. A gall midge larva bends its bdy and squeezes the liquid in its bdy t ne end, making it rigid. The
    accumulatin f liquid builds up pressure, and releasing the pressure sends it saring. The rbt’s bdy desn’t resemble that f a
    gall midge larva, but it jumps like ne. Its bdy is made f tw small plastic bags printed with electrdes (电极); the frnt bag is filled
    with liquid and the back ne is filled with the same vlume f air. The rbt uses electricity t drive the flw f liquid, which causes the
    bdy t bend and generate frce with the grund, resulting in a jump. And the air bag imitates the functin f an animal’s tail, helping
    the rbt maintain a stable psitin.
    While the rbt is currently restricted t Earth, it might be right at hme explring anther planet. If this is true, the researchers’

    came frm a human physician r ChatGPT, rated the answers fr quality and empathy.

    Overall, the panel preferred ChatGPT’s respnses t thse given by a human 79 percent f the time. ChatGPT respnses were als
    rated gd r very gd quality 79 percent f the time, cmpared with 22 percent f dctrs’ respnses, and 45 percent f the
    ChatGPT answers were rated empathic r very empathic cmpared with just 5 percent f dctrs’ replies.
    Christpher Lnghurst, f UC San Dieg Health, said: “These results suggest that tls like ChatGPT can efficiently draft high-
    quality, persnalized medical advice fr review by clinicians, and we are beginning that prcess at UCSD Health.”
    Prfessr James Davenprt, f the University f Bath, wh was nt invlved in the research, said: “The paper des nt say that
    ChatGPT can replace dctrs, but des, quite reasnably, call fr further research int whether and hw ChatGPT can assist physicians in
    respnse generatin.”
    Sme nted that, given ChatGPT was specifically designed t be likable, it was nt surprising that it wrte texts that came acrss as
    empathic. It als tended t give lnger, chattier answers than human dctrs, which culd have played a rle in its higher ratings. Others
    cautined against relying n language mdels fr factual infrmatin due t their tendency t generate made-up “facts”.
