    Increasingly, hwever, psychlgists are realizing this is wrng. Experts in the UK have prpsed that prcrastinatin is an issue with managing ur emtins, nt ur time. The task we're putting ff is making us feel bad—perhaps it's bring, t difficult r we're wrried abut failing—and t make urselves feel better in the mment, we start ding smething else, like watching vides.
    One investigatin t inspire the emtinal view f prcrastinatin was published by researchers at Case Western Reserve University. They first prmpted peple t feel bad (by asking them t read sad stries) and shwed that this increased their tendency t prcrastinate by ding puzzles r playing vide games instead f preparing fr the test they knew was cming. Subsequent studies by the anther team als shwed lw md nly increases prcrastinatin if enjyable activities are available as a distractin.
    This fresh perspective n prcrastinatin is beginning t pen up exciting new appraches t reducing the habit. An apprach, which is based n Acceptance and Cmmitment Therapy, seems especially suitable. It argues that priritizing chices and actins that help yu get clser t get things dne can keep yu away frm the unpleasant feelings. S the next time yu're ging t prcrastinate, make yur fcus as simple as “What's the next actin?”.
