Kevin Spencer, an American magician ges beynd just entertaining crwds. He als makes magic t imprve the lives f peple with disabilities.
What made him change the fcus f his wrk was an accident.It tk him almst a year t regain the skills he'd lst as a result f the accident and this made him think abut using magic tricks as a tl fr healing. S Spencer started cnducting wrkshps all ver the wrld. He teaches magic tricks t children and adults with disabilities.
Mr. Spencer says magic therapy (疗法) may seem nn­traditinal. But many skills needed t perfrm a gd magic trick are used in traditinal frms f therapy—physical mvement, thinking, understanding and scial skills are all there. And that scial cnnectin with ther peple can als help peple feel better abut themselves and increase their cnfidence.
Liam Shannn is an example. Liam has a brain disrder that can make learning and cnnecting with peple difficult. Peple with severe brain disrder may als have truble understanding cmplex emtins.
