Lesson 1 教学目标:1.听说读写taller, shorter, younger, older, stronger2.能够运用比较级简单的比较两个事物。3.能够正确的描述自己的身高和年龄。例如:I’m 160 cm. cm表示centimeters,汉语是厘米。同时在问学生年龄时让学生尝试运用完整的介绍方法。例如:I’m eleven years old.4.能够听懂Line up from shorter/younger to taller/older.教学重点: 学习形容词tall, short, young, old, strong的比较级taller, shorter, older, younger, stronger.教学难点:1.如何运用这些比较级,以及读法。2.理解:Line up from shorter to taller. Line up from younger to older.教学准备:1.教师准备A Let's learn部分的单词卡片 2.多媒体课件 3.卷尺或其他可测量身高的仪器 教学过程:Step 1 Warm-up1、Let's chant课件显示,伴音吟唱2、Revise the numbers from 1 to 99 .并且以此来引出159、160等数字的读法。3、出示几幅人物图,T: Who’s he/she? What’s he/she like ?引导学生用学过的形容词“tall,short, old, young, strong, thin, long, big, small”来描述人物。Step 2 Presentation1、Let's startT: How old/ tall/heavy are you? 教师提供量身高和体重的工具让学生量自己的身高和体重,并将其结果和自己的年龄记录在小卡片上。2、Let's learn(1)让学生根据自己制作的小卡片学会用英语来表达自己的年龄、身高和体重。如:I’m 11 years old. I’m 164 cm tall. I’m 48 kg. (注意cm和kg的读法) (2)Pair work用句子How old/ tall/heavy are you? 来询问同桌的年龄、身高、重量并进行回答。(3)邀请几位学生上台,教师拿自己的信息跟他们分别作比较,引出新单词。如:I’m 30 years old. You’re 12 years old. So I’m older than you. You’re younger than me .同上引出taller - shorter, stronger – thinner, heavier – lighter.(4)再邀请一位学生出来,教师将自己的手和手臂分别与其比较来引出bigger – smaller, longer – shorter 的学习。如:My hands are bigger than your hands . Your hands are smaller than my hands .My arms are longer than your arms. Your arms are shorter than my arms.(5)教师带读单词,让学生边读边找出形容词比较级的构成方式,总结归纳出形容词的比较级的构成方式:第一种情况在形容词的后面直接加“er”. 第二种情况在形容词的后面双写最后的字母再加“er”如:thinner ;第三种情况以辅音字母y结尾的词,先改“y”为“i”再加“er”,如:heavier。(6)跟录音读新词,注意形容词比较级单词末尾的辅音与er的连读。Step 3 Consolidation and extension 1、PPT出现多种动物让学生进行比较,让他们能讲多少就讲多少,灵活运用。2、让学生拿自己的文具与其它人的进行比较。Step 4 Homework1、抄写所学的四会词组,一个抄两行。2、让学生统计自己家庭成员的基本情况,设计表格而且要用语言进行描述。Lesson 2 教学目标:1.学会在实际的情境中运用 How tall are you? I’m…cm tall.2.和I’m …taller/shorter/stronger/bigger/older/younger than you. 以及表示大多少、高多少、重多少的表达方法,同时注意单数和复数的用法。例如:one year older than… 和two years older than…3.能够听说读写下列句子:How tall are you? My mother is thirty-six. My father is older than my mother. 让学生熟练的运用比较级进行比较。3.引导学生运用完整的表达年龄,体重和身高,以及表示大多少、高多少、重多少,从而分解新课的难度。例如:I’m thirty years old. You’re twelve years old. You’re shorter than me.然后和B同学做相同的问答。教师板书:You’re shorter than me. 学生跟读。3、教学句型“You’re 4cm taller than me.”教师问比自己高的学生:How tall are you?(I’m 165cm tall.)You’re taller than me. You’re 2cm taller than me.板书:You’re 2cm taller than me。引领学生跟读。再运用其他的词汇做替换练习。4、把图片出示给学生,让他们进行强化训练。例如:Zhang Peng is stronger than Mike.同桌或小组间互相练习。5、学生听录音,跟读,练习对话Step 3 Consolidation and extension1、Group work:学生在小组内利用本课主句型互相询问,然后用比较级进行汇报。2、Task time:让学生量教室里面钢笔、课本、桌子等物品的尺寸,并说出完整的句子,如:My pen is 14 cm long.Step 4 Homework 1、 Make a new dialogue with your classmate.2、写一篇你和你的朋友,题目是:My friends and I当中必须出现三次比较级。 Lesson 3 教学目标:1.能够读懂短文。2.完成下面的四个问题。3.掌握如何比较人和事物。教学重点: 读懂短文,完成下面的问题;能够基本掌握形容词比积极的用法教学难点:学生能够看懂、会朗读句子:“I think the little monkey is only 40cm tall. What do you think of it? ” 帮助学生回答:“It’s funny. ” 再出示一张小猴的图片,说:“ Look at the monkey. What do you think of it? ” 帮助学生回答回答:“It’s funny, too.” 教师接着问:“ Which one is funnier, the clown or the monkey?” 帮助学生表达自己的看法,如:“ I think the monkey is funnier.” 或“ I think the clown is funnier.” (提醒学生从funny 到funnier 的变化,可适当补充同类形容词比较级如happier, busier等)。2、出示另外两张猴子的图片,贴在黑板上,说:“Look , there are 3 monkeys, Which monkey do you like? Why? ” 引导学生给出答案:“ I like the yellow one. It’s taller than…. I like the brown one. It’s stronger than ….. I like the little one. It’s …..”3、引出课文:“ Ben is watching monkeys at a zoo with his father now. And find out how many monkeys can you see.”4、1st reading: 找出文中有多少只猴子。5、2nd reading: 圈出文中的比较级单词。6、3rd reading: 完成课后填空。7、4th reading: 画出生词难句。8、朗读课文,加深理解。9、学音标(C部分Pronunciation)(1)教师呈现Pronunciation部分的音标,让学生试着读一读。(2)教师示范,学生跟读。(3)教师出示单词,学生试读。(4)学生尝试把音标和单词连线。(5)教师出示Pronunciation部分,学生读音标和词。Step 3 Consolidation and extension完成Pair work,说说要求,教师做demo,然后学生互相询问找出答案,然后填入P8的表格中,指名交流。Step 4 Homework1.朗读对话。2.介绍自己的同学或者朋友。运用从前的知识加上新学的比较级并且写下来Lesson 4 教学目标:1.能够听、说、读、写形容词的比较级形式:heavier , longer, thinner ,bigger和smaller.2.能够灵活准确地运用以上形容词比较级描述人物和动物的特征差异。3.能够完成Let’s play部分的活动并在活动中用相应的语言正确表达。4.能够理解story time中的故事。教学重点:四会掌握形容词的比较级形式教学难点:形容词的比较级形式的构成方式:heavy---heavier, thin—thinner big—bigger教学模式:愉悦英语教学准备:Multi-media player、Some phrase cards教学过程:Step 1:Warm-up 1. Your hands are smaller than mine.”再比较两人手臂,“My arms are longer than yours. Your arms are shorter than mine.”并板书bigger, smaller, longer.2、让学生看Let’s learn 图片,并试读单词,重点教读thinner.3、操练单词:(1)师生对反义词。(2)教师说单词,学生拼读并书空。(3)根据Let’s learn图片内容,用教师所指单词说句子。4、听Let’s learn 录音,跟读,再自己练习读,同桌分角色读。5、观察这几个单词的比较级的构成方式都相同吗?教师简单介绍形容词比较级构成的几种方式:a.直接在单词末尾加-er,如old---older, young---younger; 或有的以e结尾只加-r,如nice---nicer;b.双写末尾的辅音字母,再加-er, 如big---bigger, thin---thinner;c.以辅音字母加y 结尾,改y为i, 再加-er,如heavy---heavier;d.其它不规则变化Step 3 Consolidation and Extension1.写出下列单词的比较级形式。heavy--- small--- young---- tall--- old--- 2用本节课所学比较级单词,替换Let’s chant中关键词, 配上节奏,来复习5个形容词的比较级。3. Let’s play学生间的相互比赛,如:My arms are longer than yours. 教师出示板书,告诉学生 yours 等于your 加上一个前面出现过的名词。Step 4 Homework在作业本上书写Let’s learn的五个四会单词。Lesson 5 教学目标:1.能够完成Let’s try 部分听录音选图片并填充句子的练习。2.能够在具体情境中正确运用“How heavy are you? I’m…kg.”3.能四会掌握句型:“How heavy are you? I’m 48kg. I’m thinner than you, and shorter.”明白这句话中的省略现象:I’m shorter than you.4.了解Good to know 部分中常见的长度和重量单位,能简单了解它们的换算关系。教学重点:使学生能掌握如何询问、回答有关体重、身高、脚的大小尺寸、头发的长度等问题,并能书写相关句型,如“ How heavy are you ?I’m….” 教学难点:四会掌握句型以及单位词,如cm, kg的理解和使用。教学模式:愉悦英语教学准备:课件、单词卡片、录音带。教学过程:Step 1 Warm up 1、教师出示词卡,复习前几课时所学的词汇。如:heavy-heavier, thin-thinner, long-longer, big-bigger, small-smaller.等2、Free talk:Step 2: Presentation1、 Let’s try(1)教师引导学生观察Let’s try的插图,让学生用前几课时所学的词句来描述插图内容。(2)放Let’s try部分的录音三遍,学生听录音,填充句子并选出相应图片。(3)核对答案。2、接以上内容,师生自由对话。例如:T:How tall are you? S1:I’m …cm tall. T: I’m taller than you.T: How heavy are you? 引导学生回答:I’m …kg.同时板书句型“How heavy are you? I’m …kg.”并领读。教师再让这个学生提问自己“How heavy are you?”老师答:“I’m 55kg. I’m taller than you, and stronger.”老师边说边做动作,让学生理解所说句子的意思。如果学生不明白,教师可以多做示范。待学生理解后,教师教说句子。然后板书并教读。3、操练, 检查。4、老师指着自己的鞋子说:“I wear size 35.How big are your feet?”帮助学生一同回答:“I wear size 16.”在学生理解的前提下板书,领读。5、操练,检查。6、听录音跟读对话。7、学生自由朗读,也可以小组内朗读。8、分角色朗读对话,试着让学生在最短的时间内记忆背诵。Step 3 Consolidation and Extension1、Pair work.: make a survey.2、Pair work . Make a report.根据调查情况,同桌做出简要汇报。For example:S: Hi, I′ m Mike. I′ m 145cm tall. I′ m taller than Tom.Tom′ s feet are bigger than me .My legs are longer than Tom.3、Good to know.(1)多媒体出示长度和重量单位,使学生理解各单位的含义,教师给予一定的说明补充。(2)指导学生朗读并完成课本Good to know 部分的练习。Step 4:Homework:收集一些名人的身高、体重、年龄等资料并进行比较。Lesson 6 教学目标:1.能够听、说、认读Let’s read 部分的内容并正确完成填充句子的练习;特别是能听、说、认读单词squid, lobster ,shark ,seal ,whale和单位词tom, meter ,kg, cm。2.能够听、说、读、写对话中四会句子。教学重点:1.了解sperm whale 和 killer whale的区别。2.让学生理解、会读文段内容;并能正确理解几个单位词:ton, meter, kg cm教学难点:语言知识含量大,学生理解难度较大。尤其是对长度、重量、大小的单位区分以及表达。教学模式:愉悦英语教学准备:Tape ,recorder ,multi-media player 教学过程:Step 1 Warm up 1、Free talk: Do you like animals? Do you know, what’s the biggest animal in the world? 引出单词whale.多媒体出示,从两边游出两头鲸鱼。Teacher: The left whale is sperm whale, the right one is killer whale.Teacher: How heavy is the sperm whale? 课件展示,引出重量单位ton。Ask: How long is it? How long is its tail? 教师可通过longer或shorter来帮助学生猜。课件展示sperm whale的牙齿,ask: How many teeth? How long is its tooth?再通过课件展示很多动物或蔬菜,ask: What’s its favourite food?让学生来进行选择,从而引出单词squid, lobsters和small shark。Then ask: What can it do?
