Step 1 Warming up
In this part, T can tell Ss that they’re ging t learn sme Asian festivals in this class.(目标沟通)
T can intrduce the knwledge abut the Dragn Bat Festival and the Spring Festival accrding t the vide.(中国传统文化节日学习,既丰富学生的对传统文化的了解、增加其关于节日表达的储备也为1a的练习作铺垫。)
此处由传统文化节日过渡到亚洲其他国家的传统节日。
The T shws Ss pictures f the traditinal Chinese festivals (the Dragn Bat Festival, the Spring Festival and the Lantern Festival) and then asks them t say the Chinese name and English name f each festival.
(Tips: Give Ss sme clues if they have difficulty in recgnizing the pictures. Shw the answers directly if Ss cannt tell the English name f each festival.)
Ask Ss t watch a vide abut the Dragn Bat Festival and answer the questins:

* PPT P10 “A clean slate” is a slang. T can explain the cultural meaning f it:
过去儿童在石板上写字,写错了就把它擦去重写。后来人们用a clean slate“一块干净的石板”比喻“重新开始”。

Step 1为输入性学习,学生在Step 1中了解不同节日的背景知识以及相关表达,Step 2为学生提供输出机会,这一步骤也是对Step 1学习的一个简单反馈。
Ask Ss t wrk in pairs r in grups f fur and talk abut their favrite festivals.
(Tip: Ss can talk abut the festivals they’ve learned in Step 1 r any festival they want and the answers will be varied.)

Exclamatry Statements(感叹句)
1. 了解人什么是感叹句
2. 学习what引导的感叹句:What + a /an +形容词+可数名词单数形式 (+主语+谓语)!, 口语中常可以省略主语和谓语。what引导的感叹句结构还可以是:What +形容词+可数名词复数或不可数名词(+主语+谓语)!
3. 学习hw引导的感叹句:Hw +adj./adv.(+主语+谓语) !
Wrds meaning(词义学习)
1. crwded adj. 拥挤的,n. 人群;群众,v. 挤;靠近;盯着
2. wnder作动词表示“想知道” ,后面接由wh/what/why/hw引导的宾语从句或“特殊疑问词+动词不定式”, 意为“想知道”。wnder后面还可以接if / whether引导的宾语从句, 表示“想知道是否”, 表示一种委婉的请求或疑问。
wnder还可以作名词, 表示“惊讶; 惊叹”, “奇观; 奇迹”。

Teaching Reflectin
This is the first perid f unit 2. It is imprtant t let the students knw that they will learn t give persnal reactins and express their strng feelings using exclamatry statements in this unit. Beside, the backgrund knwledge f different festivals will be very helpful because the students will learn festivals in bth Asian and western cuntries.
