Step 1 Warming up

Game: Think and guess
Shw the descriptins f different festivals and ask Ss t guess which festival it is. (Spring Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, The Dragn Bat Festival, Qing Ming Festival)

Ask Ss t read the instructins and the given sentence patterns, make sure that all the Ss understand the requirements f the writing task.

After-reading
When finished writing, T can divide Ss int several grups, ask them take turns t read their letters. When everyne is dne, each grup can vte fr the “best letter” t represent the grup. The winning letter frm each grup will then be read ut t the class.
