(高频) 既不……也不……neither... nr... 表示否定含义, 用来连接两个并列的句子成分,连接两个并列主语时,谓语动词遵循“就近原则”。其反义短语为bth... and...,也用来连接两个并列的成分,当连接两个并列主语时, 谓语动词用复数形式。
遵循“就近原则”的结构还有:There be... 有……either... r... 或者……或者……nt als... 不但……而且……e.g. Neither the students nr the teacher knws anything abut it.学生和老师都不知道这事.(并列主语) He neither knws nr cares what happened.他既不知道也不在意发生了什么。(并列谓语)
e.g. He speaks neither French nr German. 他既不说法语也不说德语。(并列宾语) She seemed neither surprised nr wrried. 她似乎既不惊讶也不担心。(并列表语) Bth yu and I have been t Sanya. 拓展:neither 作限定词、代词或副词, 常见用法如下:(1) 作det., 意为“两者都不”, 修饰可数名词单数, 谓语动词用单数。e.g. Neither side culd shake ff its memries.谁也不能忘怀旧事。
(2) 作prn., 意为“两者都不”, 可单独用, 后接f 短语作主语时谓语动词用单数或复数均可。e.g. Neither f them has/have been t China. 他们俩都没去过中国。(3) 作adv., 意为“也不”, 常用于倒装句。“Neither + 助动词/ 情态动词/系动词+主语.”表示前面否定的内容也适用于另一个人或物。e.g. He des nt like beethven and neither d I.他不喜欢贝多芬,我也不喜欢。
