展开状语从句
状语从句用来修饰主句中的动词,副词和形容词的从句叫状语从句。根据其含义状语从句可分为时间状语从句,地点状语从句,条件状语从句, 原因状语从句,结果状语从句,比较状语从句,目的状语从句,让步状语从句。
时间状语从句
一、关于时间状语从句的时态
1.主句一般将来时,从句用一般现在时 (主将从现)
例如:The by will be writer when he grws up.
2.主语含有情态动词,从句用一般现在时(主情从现)
例如:When the lights are red, the traffic must stp.
3.主句为祈使句,从句用一般现在时(主祈从现)
例如: Please dn’t g t bed befre yu finish yur hmewrk.
4.主句为一般过去时,从句也用过去时态(主过从过)
例如:I liked reading when I was yung.
引导词
(时间状语从句常用when, as, while, befre, after, since, till, until, as sn as等连词来引导。)
1.when, while,as引导的时间状语从句的
when和while与过去进行时有着密切的关系,他们作从属连词时都有“当…….时候”之意,
用法稍有不同:
①when引导的从句: 表示主句的动作和从句的动作同时发生, 或从句的动作发生在主句动作之前。
②when从句的谓语动词可以在主句谓语动作之前、之后或同时发生;while和as从句的谓语动作必须是和主句谓语动作同时发生。
③as引导的时间状语从句: 由as引导的时间状语从句, 表示“ 一边……一边……, 随着……”。其从句的主语与主句的主语往往是同一人或物。例如:
(1)I was playing cmputer games when my father gt hme.
= When my father gt hme,I was playing cmputer games.
(2) Mther was cking when/while I was ding my hmewrk.
= When/While I was ding my hmewrk, mther was cking.
He hurried hme, lking behind as he went. 他匆匆回家,一边走一边回头看。
As time ges by, I like China better.随着时间的推移,我更喜欢中国。
2.until和till引导的从句:
①表示“直到……为止”, 主句和从句都用肯定式till和until都可以。
(固定组合里frm mrning till night,till/until是不能替换的)例如:
They wrked until/till it was late. 他们一直工作到天黑。
②表示“直到……才”, 主句主句动词是瞬间动词,主句用否定式, 从句用肯定式。例如:
She didn’t g t bed until she finished her hmewrk. 她一直到写完作业才睡觉。
3.befre引导的从句: 一般表示主句的动作发生在从句动作之前。例如:
I didn’t knw any English befre I came here. 我到这儿来之前, 一点英语都不懂。
4.after引导的从句: 表示主句的动作发生在从句动作之后。例如:
After he lcked the dr, he left. 他锁上门, 就走了。
since引导的从句:
表示“自从……以来”, 从句中的动词一般表示动作的起点, 用一般过去时;主句中的动词表示动作延续的情况, 一般用现在完成时。如果主句中的动词表示的不是延续的动作而是表示目前的状态, 可用一般现在时。例如:
She has taught in this schl since she came t this city in 1989. 自从她1989年来到这个城市以来,她一直在这所学校教书。
it’s+时间+since 从句
例如:
It’s three years since she came t this city. 她来这个城市已经三年了。
5.as sn as引导的从句: 表示“一……就”, 强调动作紧密相连。
例如:
As sn as I arrive in Shanghai, I’ll write t yu. (主将从现)我一到上海,我就给你打电话
As sn as she came t the classrm, she began t read English. 她一到教室, 就开始读英语。
原因状语从句
在句中用来说明主句原因的句子叫作原因状语从句。通常由because, since, as,fr引导。
(1)because表示直接原因,语气最强。Because引导的原因状语从句多放在主句之后。回答由why提出的问题,只能用because。
------Why aren’t ging there? ------Because I dn’t want t.
I did it because he tld me t.
(2)Since和nw that语气比because弱,常翻译为“既然”一般用来表示明显的原因。由since引导的原因状语从句多放在句首。
Since we have n mney, we can’t buy it.
Nw that yu are busy, let me d it fr yu.
(3)as语气比since弱,表示附带说明的 双方已知的原因,含有对比说明的意味。
As he has n car, he can’t get there easily.
(4)fr引导的,不说明主句行为发生的直接原因,只提供一些辅助性的补充说明,并且只能放于主句之后.
We must start early tmrrw, fr we have a lng way t g.
It must be mrning fr the birds are singing.
目的状语从句
用来补充说明主句中谓语动词发生的目的的状语从句。
(1)目的状语从句通常由 s that, in rder that(为了,以便)引导。例如:
We started early s that we culd catch the first train.
We used the cmputer in rder that we might save time.
(2) 目的状语从句的谓语常含有may ,might , can , culd , shuld , wuld 等情态动词
结果状语从句
在句中用来作结果状语的句子叫结果状语从句。
经常由s…that, such…that, 引导。
(1)在由引导的结果状语从句中,s是副词,与形容词连用。
... s + 形容词(副词)+ that…
+ 形容词+ a/an + 可数名词单数+that...
He was s glad that he culdn’t say a wrd.
It was s ht a day that we all went swimming.
(2)由such…that引导的结果状语从句中,such是形容词
such+a/an +形容词+可数名词单数+ that
such+形容词+可数名词复数/不可数名词+ that
It was such a ht day that nbdy wanted t d anything.
He had such lng arms that he culd almst tuch the ceiling.(天花板)
有时上述两种结构是可以互换的。例如:
It is such an imprtant match that nbdy wants t miss it.=The match is s imprtant that nbdy wants t miss it.
(3)如果名词前由many, much, little, few等词修饰时,只能用s, 不用such。例如:
Sn there were s many deer that they ate up all the wild rses.
He has s little time that he can’t g t the cinema(去看电影) with yu.
结果状语从句
结果状语从句的从句部分是补充说明主句中谓语动词发生的结果的,通常位于主句之后。结果从句中通常不用情态助动词,但must,can,culd除外。such用在(形容词)名词之前;而s要用在形容词/副词之前,s或that有时会省略掉。以下逐一介绍中考中常见的引导结果状语从句的词:
1. s that可以引导目的状语从句, 也可以引导结果状语从句。
例如:
He wrried s that he culdn’t sleep.他急得睡不着。(s that引导结果状语从句)
It was very cld, s that the river frze.天气寒冷, 河水都结冰了。(s that引导结果状语从句)
I came t the class early s that I culd see the classmate beside me.我赶早来上课, 以便早点看到我旁边的同学。(s that引导目的状语从句)
2. 与such... that引导结果状语从句
such是形容词,s是副词。
s…that用于以下四个句型:
(1)s+形容词/副词+that…
This teacher is s kind that we all like him. 这个老师非常和谒,我们都喜欢他。
(2)s+形容词+a/an+单数可数名词+that…
This is s interesting a bk that we all enjy reading it. 这本书非常有趣,我们都喜欢看。
(3)s+ many(多) / few(少) +复数可数名词+that…
He has s many bks that I can’t cunt them. 他有很多书,我数也数不清。
(4)s+ much(多) /little(少) +不可数名词+that…
There was s much fd that we culdn’t eat it all. 食物太多了,我们吃不完。
注:若little表示“小”时,要用such。如:
He is such a little by that he can’t lift the bx. 他是这么小的小男孩,提不动那个箱子。
such…that…用于以下三个句型:
(1)such+ a/an+形容词+单数可数名词+that…
This is such an interesting bk that we all enjy reading it. 这本书非常有趣,我们都喜欢看。
(2)such+形容词+复数可数名词+that…
They are such interesting bks that we all enjy reading them. 这些书很有趣,我们都喜欢看。
(3)such+形容词+不可数名词+that…
It is such nice weather that I wuld like t g t the beach. 天气如此之好,我想去海滩。
if引导的条件状语+表示禁止做某事的结构
1、if引导的条件状语
“if从句+祈使句”结构,表达建议。if引导的从句可以放在主句之前,也可以放在主句之后。
Eg. If yu arrive, please call me. 如果你到了,请打电话给我。
Make sure yu drp in n me if yu cme t Beijing.
如果你来北京,一定要顺便拜访一下我。
2、表示“禁止做某事的结构”
表示禁止的结构
(1)N+动名词
N smking.禁止吸烟。
N shuting.请勿喧哗。
(2)N+名词
N phts.请勿拍照。
(3)Dn’t+动词原形
Dn’t tuch.请勿触摸。
条件状语从句
条件状语从句就是用以表示“在某种条件下,会……”,引导词主要有 if, unless, as/s lng as, n cnditin that, prvided, suppse, suppsing 等..
主句用一般将来时,if或unless引导的条件状语从句用一般现在时。
注意:[主将从现原则]在含有条件状语从句的复合句中,表示将来时态,主句是一般将来时态,祈使句或情态动词,从句要用现在时态。
一、if引导的条件状语从句
1) If yu ask him, he will help yu.
2) If yu fail in the exam, yu will let him dwn.
If yu want t g, please tell me.
If yu want t knw mre abut it, yu can call me.
if引导的条件状语从句既可以将从句放前面也可以将从句放后面
(如果天下雨,我们就不玩了)If it rains, we will stp playing.
转为We will stp playing if it rains.
另外,if从句还表示不可实现的条件或根本不可能存在的条件,也就是一种虚拟的条件或假设,从句多用一般过去时或过去完成时。
如:If I were yu,I wuld invite him t the party.
I wuld have arrived much earlier if I had nt been caught in the traffic.
二、其他连词引导的条件状语从句
1.unless = cnj.除非,若不,除非在……的时候
Yu will fail t arrive there in time unless yu start earlier.
如果你不早点动身,你就不能及时赶到那儿。
Unless it rains, the game will be played.除非下雨,比赛将照常进行。
2.n cnditin(that)...在……条件下,如果 n cnditin (that)...引导的条件从句是主句事件发生的前提条件或唯一条件。
I can tell yu the truth n cnditin that yu prmise t keep a secret.
我可以告诉你真相,条件是你答应保密。
Yu can g swimming n cnditin (that) yu dn't g t far frm the river bank.
你只有在不远离河岸的条件下才可以下水游泳。
3. suppsing cnj.如果,假如 suppsing引导的条件从句表示一种假设条件。
Suppsing it rains, shall we cntinue the sprts meeting?倘若下雨,我们的运动会还要继续举行吗?
Suppsing anything shuld g wrng, what wuld yu d then?假如出了什么问题,你准备怎么对付?
4. prvided cnj.假如,除非,以……为条件 prvided (that) +从句表示一种假设条件。
He will sign the cntract prvided we ffer mre favrable terms.
如果我们提出更优惠的条件,他就会在合同上签字。
He wn't be against us in the meeting prvided that we ask fr his advice in advance.如果我们提前征求一下他的意见,他就不会在会上反对我们。
5. s/as lng as只要
S lng as yu’re happy, it desn’t matter what yu d.只要你高兴,你做什么都没有关系。

只要你保持书的清洁,你就可以把我的书借去。
