The UK's first large-scale seagrass nursery aims t restre(恢复)ne f the wrld's mst imprtant and threatened habitats: seagrass meadws(草地). The prject has prcessed 1.5 millin seeds cllected frm Wales and England ver the past tw years. These seeds are grwn in pnds using seawater frm Carmarthen Bay, prviding a vital habitat fr marine(海洋的)lives like seahrses, ctpuses, and cuttlefish, and serving as an imprtant carbn(碳)sink.
Emily Yates, the nursery lead, mentined the challenges due t the lack f a handbk fr grwing seagrass frm seed. They fund that planting seeds in a mix f gd quality sil and sands wrks well. Tw main UK species, eelgrass(Zstera marina)and dwarf eelgrass (Zstera nltii), are grwn in cntrlled cnditins within plytunnels and utdr pnds.
The prject is a jint venture by Prject Seagrass and the wetland specialist Salix. The UK has lst abut 90% f its seagrass meadws, half f which has disappeared in the past three decades due t a wasting disease in the 1930s and increased human activities like pllutin. Seagrass meadws are critical fr marine bidiversity and act as significant carbn sinks, helping reduce climate change by absrbing carbn dixide(CO2)frm the atmsphere.
Prject Seagrass argues that withut replanting, natural recvery is unlikely. Replanting effrts are crucial because they help rebuild the ecsystem services prvided by seagrass meadws, such as supprting fish ppulatins, prtecting castlines, and imprving water quality.
The hpe is that ver time, mre pnds will be changed int seagrass nursery pls, helping t bring back this critical habitat. The prject is nt nly abut envirnmental restratin but als abut raising awareness and educating the public abut the imprtance f seagrass meadws and the urgent need t prtect and restre them.

A. Insufficient funding. B. Lack f suitable climate.
C. High cst f planting the seagrass seeds. D. N related instructins fr planting seagrass.
33. What d we knw abut seagrass meadws frm paragraph 3?
A. They have disappeared in the UK. B. They can create a lng-term stre f carbn.
C. They can prevent severe flds. D. They can increase water temperature.
34. Why is replanting seagrass necessary?
A. It attracts turists all arund. B. It helps in fishing industry.
C. It benefits the ecsystem. D. It imprves Prject Seagrass.
35. What is the best title fr the text?
A. The Rle f Seagrass in Castal Ecsystems
