    Sad but Beautiful Last night ne f my Chinese friends tk me t a cncert f Chinese flk music. The piece which was played n the erhu especially mved me. The music was strangely beautiful, but under the beauty I sensed a strng sadness and pain. The piece had a simple name, Erquan Yingyue ( Mn Reflected n Secnd Spring), but it was ne f the mst mving pieces f music that I have ever heard. The erhu sunded s sad that I almst cried alng with it as I listend. Later I lked up the histry f Erquan Yingyue , and I began t understand the sadness in the music.
