    【重点语法】
    ① strike 动词,过去式为struck,意为“爆发;撞去”。 stne struck him n the back.那块石头砸在他背上。 The snwstrm struck the city.暴风雪袭击了这座城市。②fall dwn 意为“倒塌;跌倒;下落”。
    e.g. I fell dwn and hurt my knee.我摔倒弄伤了膝盖。
    anther 意为“又一,再一,另一(事物或人)”,后面可接单数名词或数字加复数的名词。
    【拓展]“anther +数字+复数名词”相当于“数字+mre +复数名词”。 e.g. Wuld yu like anther apple?你想再来一个苹果吗?

    ④ mre serius是比较级形式。多音节和部分双音节形容词和副词的比较级由“mre +形容词或副词”构成,最高级由“the mst +形容词或副词”构成。
    e.g. Lily is mre beautiful than Lucy, but Nancy is the mst beautiful many peple are missing.

    ⑤lse ne's life/lives 意为“失去生命”。
    e.g. Many peple lst their lives in the earthquake.很多人在地震中失去生命。
    ⑥prtect 动词,意为“保护”,名词形式是prtectin 。常用结构:prtect sb.frm sth.意为“保护某人免受某物的伤害”,也可以表达为:prtect sb.against sth.
    ①1) knwing sme ways t prtect yurself是动名词短语,在句中作主语。
    e.g. Ding mre exercise is gd fr yur health.多做运动对你的健康有好处。
    2)t prtect yurself为词不定式短语作定语,修饰 ways.
    e.g. There isn't enugh space t live in n the island.这个小岛上已没有足够的生存空间。
    ②1) remember t d sth.意为“记得去做某事(未做)”, remember ding sth.意为“记做了某事(已做)”。
    e.g. Please remember t send the letter fr me.记住要帮我寄信。
    I remember sending the letter.我记得把信寄走了。
    【温馨提示]类似表达:frget t dsth.意为“忘记要做某事(未做)”,frget ding sth.意为“忘记做过某事(已做)”。
    2) with 在句中是“用”的意思,表示用什么工具。in作“用”时,用语言。by指“靠……手段;用……方法”,所表示的方法、手段比较抽象。
    e.g. We write with pens.我们用笔写。 I can sing sngs in English.我可以唱英语歌。
    James makes a living by teaching.吉姆斯靠教书为生。
    ③ stay away (frm sb./sth.)意为“离开;不接近(某人/某物)”。 e.g. Children must be warned t stay away frm main rad.必须警告孩子们远离交通要道。
    Please stay away frm the dg.不要接近狗。
    ④ut f意为“(从……里)出来;没有,缺少”。 e.g. Dn't put yur hand ut f the windw when yu take a bus.坐公交车时,不要把手伸窗外。 We are ut f water.我们没有水了。
    ⑤ stay calm意为“保持冷静”,t stay calm为动词不定式短语作表语。
    e.g. Yu felt it strange I stay calm when I saw yur activities.你感到奇怪吧,我居然在看了你的行为之后保持了冷静。
    ①hear abut 意为“听说;得知”。
    e.g. I've just heard abut his illness.我刚听说他生病的事。[拓展]hear frm 意为“收到……的信或电报”。
    e.g. I haven't heard frm him since he telephned.自从那次他来电话后,我一直没有收到他的来信。
    【辨析]hear f 也含有“听说”的之意,但跟 hear abut 有区别。hear abut后常接事件之类的名词,而 hear f后则常接人或事物。
    e.g. Have yu heard abut the accident?你听说那场事故了吗? I haven't heard f her fr a lng time.我好久没有她的消息了。②7.1 读作 seven pint ne .
    ③ hw t prtect yurselves为“疑问词+动词不定式”的结构,在句中做及物动词knw的宾语。动词不定式前面有时加上疑问词what, which, when, where, hw,这种结构主要用在knw, tell, wnder, ask, learn等动词之后做宾语。 e.g. Culd yu tell me hw t get t the railway statin?请你告诉我去火车站怎么走,好吗?
