    Lead-in
    Present the picture f 1a and "What's fun in a yard" with curseware.At the same time, shw sme curtyard maps f different cuntries and regins, and then ask students t guess the meaning f"yard".
    Part 1 Observe and describe
    The teacher asks questins t guide the students t bserve the 1a picture, s that they can infer and describe the scene, the relatinship between the characters and the cntent f the cmmunicatin between the characters. E.g: "Hw many peple are there in the picture?""What else can yu see in the picture?""What are they talking abut?"
    Part 3 Knw the plants and animals
    The teacher shws the pictures f the curtyard, pints ut the animals r plants in turn, and asks the students t answer what it is.Write the crrespnding wrds n the blackbard.
    Part 4 Exercise
    Use curseware t quickly display pictures f animals r plants and ask students t answer what this is r what these are.Students need t use the sentence pattern "It's…/They are…"
    Shw a picture f the curtyard, then circle the animals and plants in turn and ask the students what else yu see.
    Shw a picture f the curtyard, number the newly learned animals and plants in the picture with letters, and give the crrespnding wrds next t them. Let the students bserve and match the animals and plants with their names.

    Play the vide fr the students t learn abut the prximal and distal.
    Use fur pictures t further shw the students the prximal and distal and their plural usage.

    Let the students imagine themselves in a curtyard. Wrk in pairs. One student plays the wner f the curtyard and the ther plays the visitr. Practice the dialgue in pairs. Need t use the sentence pattern "What's this/that/these/thse? "
    Part 7 Listening
    Teach students hw t express numbers, and read and write repeatedly.
    Shw the pictures f the curtyard and let the students bserve the animals and the number in the picture.
    Play the tape and let the students write the number wrds crrespnding t the number f animals in the picture while listening.

    Cmplete the dialgue accrding t the picture.
